On March 16th, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration's Economic Development Bureau, the Ministry of Civil Affairs' Elderly Service Bureau, the National Health Commission's Elderly Health Bureau, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine's International Cooperation Bureau will publicly disclose the list of selected national forest health bases (first batch) selected by the four departments, with a period of March 17th to March 24th.
According to reports, all 107 national forest health bases on the list include 'Lingshi Nangong, Sixi Mountain Forest Health Base – Lingshi Nangong National Wetland Park Management Office'.
Lingshi Nangong National Wetland Park is located at the junction of Water Town County and Pan Zhou City in Guizhou Province, with a total area of 2680 hectares and a wetland area of 1060 hectares, accounting for 39.5% of the wetland. The Nangong Mountain National Wetland Park developed in the karst plateau mountain terrain, and large-area massive slab-shaped patches of peat swamps formed on the peak of Nangong Mountain, which is a typical karst limestone mountain terrain wetland resource. The peat swamp plays an important role in maintaining the ecological security of the region and the Pearl River basin, and is praised by relevant experts as 'an irreplaceable 'water tower' along the Pearl River'.
On December 29, 2018, it passed the pilot acceptance organized by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and officially became a National Wetland Park.
Forest health bases are leisure and health bases that integrate tourism, leisure, medical care, vacation, entertainment, sports, health and elderly care services. They are an important way to improve people's happiness index and an important part of building 'Healthy China'. They are also a new model and new business model for forestry industry development.
Taking advantage of natural resources, Lingshi Nangong National Wetland Park has developed 18 attractions including plateau wetland, Sixi River Gorge, Tian Shan Waterfall, Tienshan Bridge, and hot spring resort town, and has become a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot integrating natural scenery, ethnic customs, agricultural experience, health and leisure sports, with an annual tourist volume of 800,000.
