Why Do Birds' Lifespans Are Short, Yet We Rarely See Their Corpses?
Some people go for a walk in the wilderness during their holidays, here people can breathe air different from the city and drink very clear spring water, and most commonly they can see many small birds in the forest, their calls are also very pleasant. However, small birds have a very short lifespan, sometimes they don't live more than a few years, but why is it rarely seen their corpses?

Many people like the sound of small birds, some will even keep them at home. In the wilderness, we can also see tall birds' nests on tall trees. However, birds are much shorter-lived than other animals. But why is it difficult for us to see dead small birds? In fact, the main reason is that birds are very fragile, many birds don't survive the winter, so they are frozen to death. Some birds even if not frozen to death because of winter, will starve to death in their nests because there is no food, so we naturally don't see their corpses.
Another reason is that small birds have many enemies. Many birds are hunted and killed by its predators when they are looking for food. Some young birds are caught and eaten by cats or snakes because their parents are looking for food and they haven't learned to fly.

The last reason is that some birds have a strong sense of territory, they have the same 'roots return' ideas as humans. They can foresee that they are about to die, so at this time they don't go anywhere, only staying in their own bird nests until the end, and their corpses will be cleaned up by bacteria.

Now, city people are unlikely to see various small birds flying in the sky, and occasionally they see only sparrows. This is because the urban environment is polluted, which is not suitable for birds to survive. In rural areas, the number of small birds is also decreasing, this is due to some people like to hunt and catch birds to eat, so it's only possible to see small birds in deep mountains and old forests.
