Spring Arrives! Large Numbers of Migratory Birds Arrive in a Region of Inner Mongolia
On February 23rd, the Dingkou Forest Public Security Bureau discovered another batch of migratory birds arriving in Dingkou. The new birds mainly included the Red-crested Pochard, Hooded Duck, Common Sandpiper, Ruddy Duck, and Scarlet-eyed Duck, with an estimated number of over 300 individuals.

On February 12th, the first batch of swans arrived in Dingkou, marking the beginning of the migratory season for birds.


On February 23rd, patrol officers discovered a new batch of migratory birds in the Ulanbu and Desert lake, mainly consisting of Red-crested Pochard, Hooded Duck, Common Sandpiper, Ruddy Duck, and Scarlet-eyed Duck, with approximately 300 individuals. These birds were playing and foraging on the still-shrinking water surface, enjoying themselves. The Red-crested Pochard and Hooded Duck are naturally alert and difficult to approach, and the patrol officers had to go to great lengths to clearly see their true appearance.

As the temperature gradually warms, the number and population of migratory birds will increase, and the Dingkou Forest Public Security Bureau will do its best to protect the safety of the passing migratory birds, creating an ideal space for the survival and reproduction of migratory birds and other wild animals.
