The Exhausted Bird: After Watching, You Will Understand

Once, there was a bird species living in the Amazon rainforest in South America. This bird was entirely emerald green with a ring of gray patterns, like concentric waves, hence its name, the Wavebird.

Although beautiful, this bird was busy building nests every day, making it look tired and worn. The Wavebird's nests had a single characteristic: they were huge, built high in trees, a truly spectacular sight. But these huge nests inevitably aroused suspicion: the Wavebird was a small bird, only about five to six centimeters long, but it built nests that were several times, even dozens of times, larger than its own body.

To solve this mystery, an animal researcher conducted an experiment. He built a large cage and captured a Wavebird to observe its nest-building process. To his surprise, this Wavebird only built a nest that could accommodate its own body size and then stopped building.

This aroused the researcher's great interest, and he captured another Wavebird and put it in the cage to see how it built a house. This time the situation changed: the bird was immediately put in the cage and began to build a house vigorously, while the originally stopped one also went crazy to expand the nest, and the two nests grew bigger and bigger.

After a few days, both birds became obviously tired and slow down their construction speed. After a few more days, the one that had been brought in earlier died, and this bird died, and the other immediately stopped building nests. These phenomena were truly baffling. The researcher then captured another Wavebird and put it in the cage, as before. The researcher was deep in thought, and suddenly realized the cause: the Wavebird's constant busyness was due to comparison.

This bird was too strong in comparison, it couldn't tolerate anyone's nests being bigger than its own, and once it found another bird building a 'house', it would frantically expand its nest… In the experiment, both birds ended up exhausted.

In fact, life is like the Wavebird's nest-building: to truly gain happiness and live a relaxed life, you cannot always compare yourself to others. Many times, satisfaction with yourself is enough. Do your best for anyone and anything, and effort is enough; you don't need to make your body too tired, nor do you need to fill your heart with sadness. If you keep staring at other people's lives, you won't see your own happiness; a person who doesn't compete, has a relaxed body; things without comparison, smooth road; a heart that doesn't ask, has a peaceful life.

I wish you can be a content and happy person, let your family be stable and peaceful, be true and sincere with your friends, let your mood be happy, and be full of passion for life.
