The Beauty of the Swans – A Photography Expedition to Rongcheng Swan Lake, Shandong
Arrived in Weihai, Shandong in December 2019, and entered the Rongcheng Swan Lake, experiencing the temptation of the great swans for the first time, marking the conclusion of 2019 photography.
Rongcheng Swan Lake is located at the foot of Mount Maishan in Chengshan Town, named after its crescent shape – the moon lake. From November to March of the following year, thousands of great swans migrate to Rongcheng Swan Lake to rest and overwinter. This magnificent and unique landscape has become a top tourist feast for Rongcheng's winter tourism, and a dream destination for photographers.
The beauty of the swans lies in its grandness and elegance, its dignity and refinement, and in its soaring flight. When a group of swans fly high or glide low, you will be amazed by that fleeting illusion. Even when walking slowly, they can still maintain their leisurely and perfect posture, supporting their large, beautiful, and white bodies. They never forget to show off their innocence, nobility, and beauty. They sing and dance, flap their wings, are polite and courteous, nod and bow, and sometimes remain silent and adorable. The combination of movement and stillness, and each gesture, reveals a unique charm.
