Who Knows! This Woman from Baoji Rescues a Strange Bird in Weihu Park
Recently, Ms. Wang from Jintai District was walking in Weihu Park when she discovered a wounded night heron. After emergency rescue, it was sent to the Forestry and Administration Office of Weibin District for treatment and protection.
On April 1st evening, Ms. Wang was walking in Weihu Park when she found the bird, wounded with its leg, in a pile of dry grass under the river bank. The bird's head to back is black green, its sides are grey, and its underside is white, with yellow feet.
Upon seeing the injured bird, Ms. Wang took it home and used gauze and anti-inflammatory medicine to simply bandage the injured area. She learned from the internet that the bird was called a night heron, a nationally protected level 2 animal, which lives and activities in plains and low mountain foothills' streams, ponds, rivers, marshes and fields, feeding on animals like fish, frogs, shrimp, and aquatic insects.
Ms. Wang was worried that she couldn't take good care of the bird, so she sent it to the Forestry and Administration Office of Weibin District for professional treatment.
