Heartwarming Orangutan Extends a Helping Hand to Humans in the River: ‘Let me help you a little?’
If you harm wild animals, don't blame them for harming you. This lesson can be well demonstrated by a bat. But if you treat animals well, they will slowly understand and, in turn, extend a helping hand. A photographer and his friend went to the rainforest protection area in Borneo, Indonesia, and accidentally captured a heartwarming scene: Orangutans saw humans in the river and immediately extended a helping hand.

Orangutans are the only great apes in Asia and are mainly distributed in the provinces of Borneo and Sumatra. Due to various factors, their numbers have decreased by 80% over the past three generations. The Orangutan Conservation Fund, which is composed of a group of people who want to protect them, currently has 400 people and is responsible for protecting more than 600 orangutans in Borneo.
Amateur photographer Anil Prabhakar was on an expedition to Borneo rainforest protection area with several friends to take pictures of animals. In the protected area, they encountered workers who were cleaning the river of venomous snakes. They received a report that there were snakes in the pond, so they went to clean the bushes in the pond, also to clean the venomous snakes. And venomous snakes are the orangutans' enemies!
The workers were standing in the muddy pond when a gorilla suddenly appeared beside them, it slowly walked in and extended its hand, as if to say to the workers, 'Let me help you a little?' The orangutan may also think the pond is very dangerous and want to pull it onto the shore. Seeing this scene, Anil was very excited and immediately pressed the camera to capture this heartwarming scene.

However, the workers said that they must maintain a distance from the animals and cannot act rashly. After all, they are wild animals and take instinctive actions, and no one knows what they will do next. So he didn't pay attention to the gorilla, but continued to work, and after cleaning, he climbed onto the shore himself. The picture of the gorilla extending its hand quickly spread on the internet, and everyone admired the gorilla's kindness.

However, the breeding speed of the Orangutans is very slow, and female wild Orangutans only breed once every 6-8 years, and in addition, they have decreased sharply due to the impact of human activities. Therefore, it is necessary for local people to spend more manpower and money to protect the endangered Orangutans.
Humans seem to always be like this, always destroy things carelessly, and when they are about to disappear, it takes a lot of effort to protect them. But some animals that will never disappear will no longer give humans the opportunity.
