Crocodile's sex identification is relatively easy, the method is to look at the hips, female crocodiles have small hips, which are 'bar' shaped, cannot move, while male crocodiles have hips much larger, which are 'fan' shaped, and can extend to the side into a 'bowl' shape, and then breed in this 'bowl' and be fertilized, then placed on aquatic plants, waiting for incubation. Golden crocodiles have a large number, and the price is very cheap, it is said that more than a year old, so it has the intention of fish friends to try to breed them. Body characteristics: can grow to more than 60cm. Crocodile king's characteristics are from the back of the head to start with several yellow stripes, to the middle of the body, the stripes disappear, replaced by some yellow black mottled blocks, the adult body has yellow green luster, it is a very beautiful crocodile king, but some individuals' stripes are not so obvious.
Crocodiles are carnivorous fish, with a strong acceptance of feed, whatever small fish, bread crumbs, red worms, animal internal organs, chicken meat, etc. can be ordered, but internal organs, chicken meat, etc. mixed with water, the preferred small fish. Crocodiles usually use ambush, when small fish swim to the edge of their mouths, quickly bite, then like snakes swallow, when hungry will also proactively attack. Some fish friends said that crocodiles mainly rely on smell to find food, vision is very poor, this point I don't agree. Generally, the vision of fish with poor vision will have a very small, such as the Nile crocodile, some fish like carp family blind fish, even the eyes are degenerated, but crocodiles are not like this, they all have a 'wet eyes' big eyes, I have many times seen crocodiles actively attack small fish at a distance, although sometimes crocodiles when looking for food will lower their heads and swim along the bottom of the tank, like hunting dogs looking for prey, it seems that they are using smell to forage, but I think its vision is much better than imagined.
Tank: Crocodile's body structure is relatively soft, so it does not require much size of the living environment. For small varieties of about 30cm, a tank of 60cm is enough, but for its healthy growth, the water body is the better, for crocodile king, big flower crocodile such as large aquarium, to achieve its growth to 50cm above, it is best to prepare a 1.5-meter tank. If conditions, in the fish tank can be built landscape, lay sand, put a wooden plank (wooden plank is a good thing, said to be able to stabilize the mood of fish in water, its own can also provide fish with a hiding place), can also put PVC hollow tubes for it to hide. Water: Crocodiles usually live in slightly acidic to neutral water, but its water quality requirements are very low, when raising it does not need to pay too much attention to pH hardness, general tap water on for a few days can be used, when changing water can even directly use tap water (hehe, cautiously still use water-soaked water), as for water temperature, some fish friends say that crocodiles can adapt to very low water temperature, I don't agree, because to raise a good fish to try to give it the best living conditions, temperature should be best at 25 degrees, hehe, if the temperature is low, be careful of government accusations of abuse of animals.
Daily management: Crocodiles are about the easiest tropical fish to raise. First, they are not afraid of hypoxia, crocodile's sacs have evolved into auxiliary respiratory organs (this phenomenon is common in ancient fish, such as sea turtles, finned fish, knives, Nile crocodiles, lungfish, etc. have this feature), so when the water in the fish is not enough oxygen, it will directly breathe a few mouthfuls of air, everyone can often see crocodiles swim to the surface of the water to breathe air. Second, crocodiles have diamond-shaped scales, forming a protective layer, so crocodiles can tolerate poor water quality, also has good resistance to disease, rarely get sick. But this doesn't mean that crocodiles are invincible, to raise crocodiles well still need to give it a good environment, although its adaptability is super strong, but exceeded its tolerance limit will still die, pay more attention to small crocodiles, young crocodiles have poor resistance to salt and coldness.
