The panda landscape beside Shuangliu Airport Flower Field Scenic Area is designed to look like a panda when viewed from the air. Some tourists can clearly see 'pandas' when airplanes take off and land, and netizens also share photos taken through the windows of airplanes. This has sparked a 'map hunt for pandas' among netizens, with one, two, three, or four pandas being found, and some 'misinformed' netizens said 'eagerly came in, thinking they were alive'!

Weibo certified as 'Weibo Aviation Commentary Group Member' Weibo blogger gave 'watching guide': 'It's not difficult to find it from satellite maps, if you sit on the left side near the landing, you can see, have any of you taken photos, share in the comments'.

Red Star News reporter opened navigation software maps, switched to satellite map mode, and indeed found one 'panda' outside the Shuangliu Airport runway, but for the netizens' given address, there was no other found.

Red Star News learned from Sichuan Airport Flower Field Construction and Development Co., Ltd. that there are indeed 6 'pandas' in the scenic area, built in the late 2018 to early 2019, respectively composed of different kinds and colors of plants, and of varying sizes. For example, the adjacent 1st and 2nd pandas, each with a land area of 10840 square meters, are composed of Red Leaf Stone Pine and Thousand Layer Gold. The largest 5th panda, with an area of 95442 square meters, is composed of Conglan and Purple Leaf Forsythia.
