Adorable Vietnamese Pet Goes Viral, Sparks Debate: Is It a Cat or a Dog?
As the proverb says: seeing is believing, while hearing is false. But does what the eyes see necessarily have to be true? For example, this picture—can't tell the difference between a rabbit and a bird? Perhaps a visit to an ophthalmologist is needed.

According to a report published on February 28th, local time, *The Daily Star* published a photo of a pet. This fluffy, pointy-eared pet sparked a heated debate about whether it was a dog or a cat, and the adorable little fellow has since gone viral, earning him millions of fans.

No matter whether it's a dog or a cat, you will surely find it cute.
The name of this little guy is Duy. He has a dog's nose and tongue, but his ears are pointy like a cat's.
Its cute appearance not only 'captivates' people, but also confuses many netizens, who cannot recognize what kind of animal it is, as it looks like a mix between a dog and a cat.
Some netizens speculated that it may be a Czechy breed crossed with a Vietnamese Miao cat, while others thought he might be a Czechy cat mixed with a British Selkirk Rex cat.
'Like we see cats, dogs, or some new foxes online... no one knows what he is?' Reddit user, Reddit, pondered.
'Hey, little guy, do you want to be a cat or a dog?'

After a few days of heated discussion, the pet's owner, Thuan, finally answered the speculation: Duy is actually a hybrid of a Vietnamese native dog and a short-legged dog called Dinggo. He is now ten weeks old.
Thuan said, 'This dog 'may have a gene mutation,' which explains its unusual but cute appearance.'
'It's a happy and cute little dog, loves to play with other dogs, even big dogs, and more importantly, loves to be with humans.'

Who knows, does such a cute little dog make you melt?
