The Nobbies is home to Australia's largest seal colony, and the scenery is incredibly beautiful at sunset.
The Nobbies is a spectacular promontory at the southwest end of Phillip Island, Melbourne. Located 2km from the Nobbies Coast, there is a peculiar rock formation called 'Seal Rocks'. The area is home to the largest colony of seals in Australia. They stay here during their breeding season from 10-12th December. This is where the Nobbies Centre is known for seal watching. We went in August, and there were no seals at this season. But you can still walk around the Nobbies promontory along a wooden boardwalk, enjoying the superb bay views. Personally, I think the scenery is no less spectacular than the Great Ocean Road, and the waves are bigger and wilder, so it's a good choice for those who like to watch waves.

There are small wooden boxes on the beach, which are penguin nests.

Standing at the highest viewing point of the Nobbies Centre, you can take in the stunning coastal views. You will hear the thunderous sound of waves crashing against the rocks, and as you look far out, you will see the dark, shiny Seal Rocks.

Seals stay here during their breeding season from 10-12th December, and you can see them all over the rocks. We went in August, and we didn't see a single seal.
The sea breeze here is very strong and the waves are very rough, so you should wear more clothes in July and August.

If you like the quiet appearance of the sea, or the roaring appearance… look out across the vast, open sea. At this moment, you can throw away the narrow, crowded, and noisy city.

Wooden boardwalks and viewing platforms have been built along the coast, and the wooden boardwalks look like a white snake, winding through the mountains.

The scenery at Nobbies is beautiful and original, with a poetic and picturesque feel.

The scenery is very charming, and the boardwalk allows you to get close to the sea.

The waves hit the shore in a rhythmic manner, one after another, creating countless flying fireworks.

Standing at the edge of the sea, you can appreciate the boundless beauty of the sea, and suddenly you feel so small, it is endless and immeasurable.

The waves hit the shore, one after another, playing and colliding with the rocks, making cheerful sounds, as if welcoming guests.

The waves hit the jagged rocks in a rhythmic manner, and in the bright sunshine, the dark rocks are dazzling.
The cliffs are high and the scenery is magnificent, and it is also a good place to watch the sunset.

The sea surface looks charming under the setting sun. Standing on the sea cliff, you can forget the horizon, and the sea surface is magically covered with a layer of pale golden color. The whole picturesque scene makes people unwilling to leave.

At sunset, the scenery is super beautiful.
