Ten-Year-Old Girl Witnesses Cat Slaughter, and She Creates a Novel (Part 2)

Today, the second part of the 10-year-old girl's novel about stray cats was released.

Introduce the novel 'Cat by the Wild Land' is written by a 10-year-old girl, currently living with her family in Shanghai. She loves writing, likes small animals, and started caring for stray cats in her community a year ago. This story was written after she witnessed the slaughter of stray cats last semester. Before allowing her to publish this article, she asked if she has a pen name, and she said 'Fish Lin' because she hopes there are lots and lots of fish for the cats to eat.

Chapter 3: The Patterned Child

Meow Meow Meow, Meow Meow

Far away, Meow Meow Meow's painful cries came, Meow Meow Meow was already lying still. Its muscles were tense, and Meow Meow Meow quickly rushed to it. Beside it, Meow Meow Meow was no longer crying. Meow Meow Meow looked at it with a happy smile, holding out the three kittens for it to see.

The three kittens had just come out of their mothers' wombs for less than an hour, covered in blood, and were sleeping. There were two male kittens and one female kitten. The largest male kitten was yellow and white, just like Meow Meow Meow, named McDuff. The second male kitten had yellow and gray fur, named Da Fen. The female kitten, Hui Shen, had gray and white stripes like Meow Meow Meow, named Lili.

The kittens were a week old, and unfortunately, they hadn't opened their eyes and were still sleeping.

Finally, after two weeks, the kittens woke up. Meow Meow Meow rushed over to see, and the first one to open its eyes was Da Fen. It first saw its father. This will forever remain in his memory. Then were McDuff and Lili, they saw their mother, naturally close to her. Da Fen's small yellow eyes looked at Meow Meow Meow's yellow eyes, little Da Fen made a small 'Meow' sound, which Meow Meow Meow heard, so Meow Meow Meow took Da Fen to drink milk. It reluctantly let Da Fen go.

A month passed, the kittens weaned, and started to walk. Meow Meow Meow wanted to cultivate Da Fen to be the next cat king, so it would take it with it during its daily patrols.

However, recently, one by one, members of the cat group disappeared in the cat group.

One day, Meow Meow Meow's three kittens played out of the nest. Suddenly, a male cat passed by them. It was all black, with a pair of green eyes shining. The three kittens looked at it, and it glanced at the kittens, and then turned and walked away. It wasn't long before a painful cry came from that direction. McDuff and Lili ran away in fright, and only Da Fen stood there, and it walked towards that direction!

Meow! Meow!

Behind them, the brothers and sisters called to stop, and they didn't pay attention. They walked to that place, and they were horrified: the male cat was lying on the ground, dead. At this time, a human picked it up and put it in a bag and walked away.

Da Fen was stunned for a minute, then immediately turned around and ran. It ran non-stop, ran to the top of the wild land beside the cat shed, and told Meow Meow Meow about it.

Meow Meow Meow was furious. Humans were killing cats again. It was those disappeared cats that were killed by humans!

At night, Meow Meow Meow returned to its nest and discussed with Meow Meow Meow how to protect the cat group and their family. Finally, they decided to warn the cat group that they must be vigilant.

But no matter how carefully the cat group was, cats were still disappearing at a rate of one per three days. Finally, Meow Meow Meow made a decision—to move the cat group.

Meow Meow Meow led the cat group to a beautiful and peaceful park—True Realm Park. There were no people who killed cats, nor dogs. It was a cat's paradise! But there was also a problem, that this park also had a local residents cat group, and the number was also many. Meow Meow Meow faced two choices: leave or fight. If it left, the cat group would continue to be hunted by humans; if it fought, the opponent was a strong enemy, and it might lose.

Meow Meow Meow considered it for a long time and decided to leave because a defeat would hurt and even die.

After returning to the old shed, the human slaughter ended.

Over the next two years, Meow Meow Meow got old, and the three kittens grew up. Da Fen will likely take the throne soon.

Meow Meow Meow's fur had lost its former luster and became white, and Meow Meow Meow's strength was declining. It was afraid that its favorite Da Fen would challenge it, and it clearly remembered how it had obtained the throne, it didn't want this to happen again, even if it was its son.

One day, Meow Meow Meow looked at the wild land, and heard a distant cry from McDuff. It was surprised for a moment, then rushed to it. It saw a man blocking McDuff's way, and Da Fen and Lili rushed to him. However, Meow Meow Meow didn't have time to bite, and the man's weapon fell on McDuff's head. It forcibly endured the pain, and took Da Fen to run. They ran to a place further away and looked back, and they saw that the man had dropped the weapon on McDuff's head.

The entire cat group knew this unfortunate event, and Meow Meow Meow's family was even more saddened. Meow Meow Meow held Lili tightly and didn't go out of the nest. Meow Meow Meow gave the task of guarding the cat group to Da Fen. Da Fen was young, and it became timid. Meow Meow Meow went back to the wild land, and its leg wound had healed, but its heart was broken, and it dripped blood from its mouth.

The wild land was still just like four years ago. Autumn had come, and there were piles of fallen leaves on the top of the cat shed, golden and yellow, making the cat shed more magnificent.

Time flies. Suddenly, another year passed. Da Fen had grown up completely. It was time to fight for the throne. Meow Meow Meow and Meow Meow Meow were six years old and were entering the downhill stage of their lives. That night, Meow Meow Meow and Meow Meow Meow went out to forage. Meow Meow Meow saw a strange-shaped but delicious thing, it walked up to smell it, and opened its mouth to eat it. Meow Meow Meow didn't know that it was a mouse poison, so it didn't stop Meow Meow Meow from eating it. But it had already caused a big trouble.

Halfway through the night, Meow Meow Meow heard Meow Meow Meow crying, so sad, so painful. It stood up suddenly, and saw Meow Meow Meow rolling all over the ground, and its expression was very painful. It quickly rushed forward to lick its back, and Meow Meow Meow looked at it with a regretful expression before falling into a coma. Meow Meow Meow knelt down, feeling its heartbeat slower and slower, and after an hour, Meow Meow Meow's heartbeat completely stopped.

Meow Meow Meow went to the wild land again, to the place where it played with Meow Meow Meow four years ago. It smelled it, and it could faintly smell Meow Meow Meow, and it suddenly realized that its beloved Meow Meow Meow had died because of a mouse poison, it couldn't help but cry.

That month, Meow Meow Meow couldn't sleep, and it dreamed about a mouse poison and Meow Meow Meow's sad cries.
