Announcement of National Forest Health Resort Base List - Our County's Longyu Bay National Forest Park Included
On March 16th, the National Civil Affairs Commission released a notice to publicly announce the first batch of National Forest Health Resorts (a total of 107 locations). Henan Province has 3 locations included, and our county’s Longyu Bay National Forest Park is also on the list.

Forest health resorts are based on forest ecological environments, with the purpose of promoting public health. They utilize forest ecological resources, landscape resources, medicinal and edible resources, and cultural resources, and are organically integrated with medicine, health science, and wellness to carry out health preservation, rehabilitation, and health care services. The development of forest health resorts is an effective way to scientifically and reasonably utilize forest and grassland resources and practice the concept of ‘ecological civilization’ – where mountains and rivers are gold and silver. It is also a strategic choice to meet the people’s needs for a better life.

The first batch of National Forest Health Resorts, announced this time, is divided into two categories: the first category consists of 21 county-level national forest health resorts, and the second category consists of 86 operating unit-level national forest health resorts. Our county’s Longyu Bay National Forest Park belongs to the second category. After the publicity is approved, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Civil Affairs Commission, the National Health Commission, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine will jointly issue a document to formally announce the list of the first batch of National Forest Health Resorts.
