Guangxi Prioritizes Construction of 108 Projects, Including Nanning Many International Tourism Resort

Major projects are the ‘pillar’ of building a cultural and tourism powerhouse. Yesterday, reporters learned that the Autonomous Region’s Major Project Construction Leading Group Office recently issued the ‘2020 First Batch of Autonomous Region Unified Promotion of Major Project Construction Implementation Plan’ and notification, involving 108 cultural and tourism projects.

This year, the Guangxi Culture and Tourism Department will accelerate the construction of a batch of landmark projects to be operated, promote a batch of cultural and tourism high-quality engineering, demonstration projects and promote the landing of attractive investment and support, introduce a batch of large enterprises.
It is understood that the Guangxi Culture and Tourism Department has established a working mechanism with department leaders responsible for specific contact and promotion of corresponding departments for major project construction, implementing a layered and zoned contact and coordination promotion mechanism for major cultural and tourism projects across the region, focusing on coordinating the promotion of investments exceeding 10 billion yuan, and vigorously coordinating the promotion of investments exceeding 50 billion yuan, and closely tracking the construction of Nanning’s Many International Tourism Resort, Guilin’s (WanDa) Cultural Tourism City, North Bay Silver Base Coastal Tourism Center and other landmark major projects.
Guangxi’s first batch of unified promotion of major projects this year includes four categories: new construction, continued construction, completion and commissioning, and pre-preparation, totaling 1132 projects. Six new construction tourism projects include Liuzhou Shan Cha Wan Eco-tourism and Health Industry Park Phase I, Guilin Yangshuo·Xingping Leisure and Health Resort and others, 73 continued construction tourism projects include Guangxi Rural Beauty Tourism Project and Guilin Cultural Tourism City and others.
A monthly reporting system is implemented for major cultural and tourism project construction information across the region. Major project construction situation is summarized and reported every half year. The entire region’s cultural and tourism major projects, especially those with a total investment of 50 billion yuan, are coordinated to solve planning, location selection (line), land use (sea) pre-examination and approval issues.
This year, Nanning’s Jasmine Flower International Cultural Tourism Health-preserving Specialty Town, Qinzhou Zhongpan·Longmen Dream Island and North Bay Ocean Five-a-Side Football Base, China-ASEAN Film and Entertainment Center Phase II Project will be listed as pre-preparation projects.
Guangxi requires all cities and departments to further implement the responsibility system, the overall construction work of city-level projects is responsible for the governments of each city, according to the principles of ‘local management, graded responsibility’, strengthen communication and coordination to accelerate project promotion. Increase the monitoring and inspection of major projects, based on annual reverse plans to increase inspection strength, track real-time project construction progress and coordination matters implementation. Through inspection to establish major project promotion early warning mechanism, promptly identify and rectify problems, promote the entire region’s major project construction management more standardized and efficient, ensure the smooth and rapid promotion of projects.
