An Overlooked Fujian Attraction: Peach Source Cave Scenic Area (Little Wuyi)
Peach Source Cave Scenic Area is located in the north 10 kilometers of Yong'an City, Sanming City, Fujian Province, in the middle of the Plum Palm Mountain. It is named after Peach Blossom Ravine. Song Li Gang wrote a poem: 'Plum palm is far away from Shaoxi, and water and stone are called Little Wuyi.' Therefore, it is known as 'Little Wuyi.' During the Wanli years of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1619), it was already established as a tourist area, with more than 10 pavilions, towers and halls built. In 1987, together with Lin Yin Stone Forest, it was listed as the first batch of provincial scenic and historic interest areas; in 1994, together with it, it was also listed as the third batch of national key scenic and historic interest areas.
Peach Source Cave Scenic Area is, to say the least, not very familiar to many people, and in comparison with the development of local attractions, its actual practical value is also easily underestimated. However, no matter how, in terms of Fujian's attention to it and its protection, this area is undoubtedly a very popular area. It is still not very familiar to many people.
Moreover, the tourism value within this area is very high because there are many scenic spots distributed within it, such as the 10+ pavilions, towers and halls, Baili Rock, Ge Li, Shizhui Bay and Plum Palm Pool scenic cultural areas. In the development of these areas, its tourism value is very high, and it has become a very popular attraction locally. It has 73 scenic spots and is always known as 'Little Wuyi.'
Within this area, it is now a national key scenic and historic interest area, and it is also related to many famous figures in history. Therefore, it is actually a place with a legendary color of many literary and artistic figures. From the perspective of the development of this area, it is also quite unique and has its own valuable value, although it is a Fujian attraction that has been overlooked, but its tourism significance and potential role within the area are also equally unignorable.
