Located in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, the Wei River 'Hundred Mile Gallery' starts from the middle section of the Baoji segment of the Wei River, extends to the eastern end of Baoji, a total length of 100 kilometers, crosses Baoji Binan, Jinan and Chengguan districts and Qishan, Mian County and Fufeng County. It's a continuous and uninterrupted green ecological corridor integrating ecology, tourism, leisure and fitness.

'Hundred Mile Gallery''s river embankment is called 'Public Fitness Corridor'. Besides basic greening, there are various flower and tree ornamental belts, there is 'Plum Flower Snow (Plum Snow)','Pine Tree Perpetual','Red Maple Autumn Charm','Persimmon Tree Autumn Charm','Willow Tree Lush Green','Ten Miles of Flower Sea',Cherry blooms bring spring, and pear blossoms bring snow
And also the 'Woodland Flower', 'Red Li Blossom', 'Oilseed Flower' and many unnamed flowers all show their faces, dressing the river embankment like an embroidered silk ribbon, making people feel happy and relaxed

▶The Wei River is the largest tributary of the Yellow River, its main stream spans the eastern part of Gansu and the central part of Shaanxi Province, with a total length of more than 800 kilometers, and the basin area is more than 134700 square kilometers. The Wei River basin is one of the important sources of ancient Chinese civilization (Yellow River and Yangtze River civilization), with a human activity history of about 100,000 years, the Blue Ant People Site (80,000 years ago), the Dai Li People Site (15,000 years ago), the matriarchal clan community of the Bohua Village (7,000 years ago) and the Yangshao Culture, Longshan Culture and other sites were all found in the Wei River basin. From the Zhou Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty for 10 consecutive dynasties, there were more than 1,000 years of building capitals in the Wei River basin
The Wei River nourishes the eight hundred miles of Qin Chuan, and the Shaanxi people call it the Mother River. The Wei River Baoji segment is about 224 kilometers long, with more than ten tributary streams flowing into it. Baoji people have thrived and prospered along the Wei River for generations
In the late 1950s, the Baoji Gorge Water Conservancy Project was built in Jinan District, which was close to the Wei River upper segment, and took 15 years to complete. In the late 1990s, the Baoji Gorge Canal Head Dam and Weir Project was built, which also took nearly 10 years to complete. Baoji Gorge is the largest water conservancy project in Shaanxi Province, and after completion, it covers four major areas with water conservancy: Baoji Gorge Ridge Irrigation Area, Baoji Gorge Ridge Lower Irrigation Area, Shitouhe Irrigation Area and Fengjia Mountain Irrigation Area, producing huge economic and social benefits

But after the completion of Baoji Gorge, the river course volume below the gorge decreased dramatically, and combined with the fact that during the reform and opening up period, people's environmental awareness was weak, the river channel was polluted with a large number of wastewater discharged by coastal production and living, and the ecological environment deteriorated, affecting people's living environment and quality
In 2012, Baoji City blew the horn for Wei River, and pollution control and ecological construction were carried out simultaneously. It carefully planned and built a green ecological corridor integrating ecology, tourism, leisure and fitness. After three years of construction and management, the Wei River has a new appearance, and the Wei River Baoji segment, which was originally dirty and smelly, has finally become a scenic picture of a hundred miles
