A Whirlwind Tour of a Hundred Miles of Blossoms
April 7th, cloudy, with a high temperature of 22 degrees. I've wanted to visit Bilibo Island to see the pear blossoms for many years, but it was either too late or the weather was bad, so I never made it. April 7th was the last day of Qingming Festival, despite hearing that the pear blossoms had already passed, I went straight to Bilibo Island at 7 am without hesitation.
9 am, the ferry from Zhijiang to Bilibo Island was packed with vehicles crossing the Yangtze River. The first stop was in Sanzhouchun, which is a traditional pear blossom base. The pear trees are few now, I found an old pear orchard, the blossoms were gone, and the small pears were already one centimeter in size, densely growing among the leaves.
The blossoms are gone, people came, I took a look at Bilibo Island. So, starting from the upper reaches of Zhoutou, I circled the 78-kilometer dike in a clockwise direction, and that's how the 'scenic tour of Bilibo Island' was created.
