Tourism Battle Against COVID-19 • Quancheng in Action | Changqing District Holds Whole-Area Tourism Planning Coordination Conference
On March 19th, the Full-District Tourism Planning Coordination Conference was held at the District People's Congress Hall. District People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman, District Tourism Command Center Commander Liu Yenuan, District People’s Congress Standing Committee Vice Chairman, District Tourism Command Center Vice Commander Li Wentao, and District Government Vice District Mayor, District Tourism Command Center Vice Commander Liu Yongting presided over the meeting. Heads of all streets (towns) and main responsible persons of relevant district departments attended the meeting.
During the meeting, District People’s Congress Standing Committee Vice Commander Li Wentao conveyed the District Tourism Command Center’s Notification on ‘Seven Ones’ Activities for the Creation of National Whole-Area Tourism Demonstration Zone, and reported on the construction of key tourism projects across the district. Heads of all streets (towns) and relevant district departments reported on the progress of the full-district tourism planning and the full-district tourism special planning compilation.
Liu Yenuan emphasized that 2020 is the ‘Four-Year Breakthrough’ year for the district, and creating a national whole-area tourism demonstration zone must achieve a breakthrough. Although the creation work is tight and the tasks are heavy, we must firmly fulfill the solemn commitment made by the District Party Committee and District Government two years ago to successfully create a national whole-area tourism demonstration zone within three years.
Liu Yenuan pointed out that creating a national whole-area tourism demonstration zone should emphasize planning leadership, strengthen the concept of whole-area tourism, and plan and design Longqing as a scenic area. All relevant departments and units should focus on the compilation of the ‘Longqing District Whole-Area Tourism Development Plan’ and town-level whole-area tourism plans, as well as relevant special plans. They should integrate tourism into the compilation of industrial, agricultural, water conservancy, transportation, new rural construction, and small town construction special plans, laying a foundation for whole-area tourism development.
Liu Yenuan emphasized the need to increase the ‘two-attract and two-attract’ efforts, adhere to the principle of ‘projects are king’, carefully plan investment projects, and promote project breakthroughs. It is necessary to create distinctive rural tourism brands, promote quality upgrading, and do a good job of publicity and marketing to build a tourism brand. It is also necessary to increase the tourism public service infrastructure construction, seriously carry out ‘Seven Ones’ activities, and improve the quality of whole-area tourism services.
Regarding the implementation of the meeting spirit, Liu Yongting requested that: one, unify thinking and raise awareness. Two, focus on key priorities and promote overall progress. Three, strengthen leadership and fulfill responsibility.
