New Coastal City Will Build Qiuyun Park and Tagang Park, Linking Eight Scenery with One Corridor and Two Rings

According to the Shantou Public Resource Trading Center, the survey and design of the Qiuyun Culture and Tourism Commercial Belt Project is now open for bidding. The project is located adjacent to the East Coast New City Xinxi District and Tagangwei District, for the Riverside Strip Park and surrounding two municipal roads, with the design concepts of ‘Dancing with the River’ and ‘Poetic Residence’, fully utilizing the natural resources and characteristics of the Silk Road culture of the East Coast, to create a city living room and a vibrant waterfront park.

It is reported that the total investment of the project is 138,967.47 million yuan, mainly including two municipal parks and two municipal roads. The total area of the parks is about 251.7 hectares, of which land area is about 136.79 hectares and water area is about 114.91 hectares; the total length of the two municipal roads is about 9 kilometers. The two parks are Qiuyun Park and Tagang Park, including earthwork, landscaping, greening, construction, landscape drainage and landscape electrical and lighting engineering. The two municipal roads are Qinling Road and Lewan Road, including earthwork, road construction, greening, road drainage, road lighting, traffic safety facilities and so on.

According to the ‘Shantou Qiuyun Culture and Tourism Commercial Belt Project Concept Design Scheme’, the project’s planning structure is ‘One Corridor, Two Rings, Eight Scenery’. ‘One Corridor’ is the waterfront ecological corridor, ‘Two Rings’ is to create a riverside slow-moving system, with ‘walking plus cycling’ as the main mode, to link the different landscape spaces in the park, effectively connect the park’s traffic and external traffic, and form a convenient and relaxed slow-moving traffic system. ‘Eight Scenery’ is Sea Silk Charm, Youth Dreams, Fragrant Garden, Lin Qilu He Lu, Childhood Fun Park, Wetland Garden, Tagang Stream and Ripples Chase.

Qiuyun Park is about 5000 meters long and 270 meters wide, with a total area of 134.12 hectares, of which the water area is about 48.82 hectares and the land area is about 85.3 hectares; the green space on both sides is relatively wide, and the water surface is relatively narrow. It is composed of five key nodes: Sea Silk Charm, Fragrant Garden, Lin Qilu He Lu, Childhood Fun Park and Wetland Garden, to meet the needs of citizens' daily leisure, fitness and activities. Tagang Park is about 4000 meters long and 300 meters wide, with a total area of 117.58 hectares, of which the water area is about 66.1 hectares and the land area is about 51.48 hectares; the water area within the park is relatively wide, and the northern shore has several fish ponds. It is composed of three key nodes: Youth Dreams, Tagang Stream and Ripples Chase, is to showcase the city’s youthful vitality waterfront park.
