Visiting Inner Mongolia: Their Beef and Lamb are Truly Delicious
When it comes to the grasslands, you'll inevitably think of endless steppes where grass blows in the wind, with herds of cattle and sheep, and scenes of feasting and drinking heartily in a Mongolian yurt – it's enough to make you feel incredibly happy. Life should be like this. So, if you don't go to the seaside in the summer, go to the grassland instead. I recommend some lesser-known attractions that are mainly known by local people, which can be used as a reference. Uiligetu, Naditu, and exploring attractions along the way to Xilin Holin, with few tourists.

It looks like these places haven't been fully developed, and most visitors are local Mongols coming to play here. Sand sliding is the main activity. Going to the sand sliding location requires a vehicle that can drive through the desert, and the ride is bumpy but still a very pleasant experience (remember to apply plenty of sunscreen, the UV rays are very strong). Hanla Shan (Half Mountain), Hanla Shan is a well-known attraction in Xiwuqi.
The terrain of Hanla Shan looks like it's been split in half, with one side a cliff and the other a gentle slope, hence the name Hanla Shan ('Hanla' is the pronunciation of 'half'). Hanla Shan surrounds the grassland, climb it, and you can enjoy the boundless grassland at your feet, the scenery is beautiful. Food, Inner Mongolia's cattle and sheep meat is really delicious, especially in July and August, which is when cattle and sheep are at their fattest. Inner Mongolian locals will choose this time to slaughter sheep and cattle, which is delicious. Inner Mongolian people have a habit of drinking milk tea, whether at home or at a restaurant before eating, they always drink a hot bowl of salty milk tea.

Salty milk tea is made by brewing brick tea and milk, and then adding salt towards the end of cooking. Yogurt and yogurt ice cream are also my favorite snacks, delicious and affordable, with a strong milk aroma. Everyone should find out about some customs and etiquette and do their homework to avoid impolite mistakes. Self-driving tours take a lot of time in the car, and you should buy plenty of food every time you drive. Our lunch was mostly eaten in the car. It's best not to ride horses to protect your safety and not to harm animals. Choose attractions rationally, and some travel agencies' chosen attractions actually have little value.
I strongly recommend that everyone, like us, chooses to stay in a local family's home, like Shteinberg, to experience it. If you want to visit Shteinberg, you can privately ask me. Fill up your gas tank at every encounter, like the meeting point. You don't know how far you'll go next, and you don't know how far the next gas station will be. Protect the environment, don't litter, and everyone is a responsible person. This is pretty much it. It was a very happy trip to the grassland, and more importantly, it was spent with loved ones and interesting people, making those few days more valuable.
