Wujiye Guifeng Village Recognized as National AAA-Level Tourist Attraction

On March 20th, reporters from the Wujiye County Culture and Tourism Commission learned that Wujiye County's Guifeng Village has reached the national AAA-level tourist attraction standard and has been approved as a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Guifeng Village is located in the west of Wujiye City, bordering Wujiye Fish Rice Hometown Yaqiaoba, west of the National Forest Park of Hongzhiba, with an area of 6.7 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of 70%. It is 7 kilometers from the Yaqiaoba exit of the Fengxi Expressway and 22 kilometers from Wujiye City, with convenient transportation, excellent ecology, beautiful scenery and profound cultural heritage. It is Wujiye County's famous ecological tourism civilized village.

In recent years, Guifeng Village has established rural tourism as a path to strengthen villages, focusing on building rural tourism supporting facilities, organically combining mountains and water. The village has scenic overlooks, arched bridges and harmony, and Guanyin Temples. Visitors can climb to admire the scenery, stroll through lotus ponds, listen to frog calls, 'listen to birds in spring, admire snow in winter, and watch the sunrise and sunset'.

Guifeng Village vigorously develops rural tourism with 35 (nongjia quy) and 52 micro-enterprises, raising ecological pigs and Danning River chickens. It not only satisfies visitors' imagination of pastoral songs, poetic villages, returning to simplicity and hiding in the mountains, allowing them to enjoy bird songs and flowers, fresh air, eat organic vegetables, and live in natural air-conditioned farmhouses, but also ensures villagers' stable income.
Guifeng Village's infrastructure is constantly improving. 95% of the villagers have smooth roads, convenient electricity and water, fiber optic access, and every household has standard bathrooms. The village has a convenience supermarket, a farmer's school, a mobile, Unicom, Telecom, Broadcasting and Television, rural e-commerce, postal service, and an agricultural bank financial branch.
Guifeng Village won the 'China's Most Beautiful Leisure Village' award in 2015 from the National Ministry of Agriculture and successfully hosted the provincial-level ideological civilization demonstration conference. In 2016, it was listed as one of the '300 Best Villages' across the country. In 2017, it was awarded as a national civilized village and a national ecological cultural village for dozens of titles. Now a vibrant and civilized Guifeng Village is welcoming guests in a vigorous manner, drawing a beautiful and prosperous picture of a new rural area and forging a distinctive path of civilized tourism development.
It is reported that the award of national AAA-level tourist attractions also includes Wujiye Hongzhiba Cloud Village Tourism Scenic Area.
