In the spring of 2020, March quietly passed, and April was approaching. The spring rain had repeatedly moistened the earth and filled the streams, and the southern farmers had already started repairing ridges and irrigating fields, and the best time to view the terraced fields was about to arrive. Are you ready to visit the terraced fields?
Today, I'm going to talk about the terraced fields closest to me, the Longji Terraced Fields in Guangxi. I'll provide some reference for terraced field travel in April.
Longji Terraced Fields is one of the most beautiful terraced fields in China. It is located in Longsheng Autonomous County, Li and Er Nationality of Guilin City, Guangxi, 22 kilometers from the county seat and 80 kilometers from Guilin.
It is said that Longsheng Terraced Fields has a history of at least 2300 years, which can be regarded as one of the world's terraced fields original places. Terraced fields are found everywhere, but Longji Terraced Fields, like this one, are relatively rare. Due to the limited mountain and water resources in Longsheng, the local people sought survival by expanding the area of cultivated land. Therefore, under the diligent efforts of successive generations of local people, this expanse of terraced fields was created. Whether it's in the rushing river valley, on the cloud-shrouded mountain peaks, or before the steep rock cliffs, wherever there's earth, there are terraced fields.
The Longji Terraced Fields are beautiful and picturesque, with water filled in April, the terraced fields along the Longji Mountain, a series of winding and continuous curves, a series of high and low terraces, with a bright sunshine, for Longji Mountain wrapped in a series of dazzling rainbow, decorate Longji Mountain into a green sacred temple, makes Longji Mountain become beautiful and full of rhythm, both majestic and delicate, combining grand momentum and exquisite elegance. From a distance, the terraced fields look like a series of scales, adorning the towering and jagged Longji Mountain into a lively and shimmering giant dragon, full of spirit, captivating and intoxicating.
Longji Terraced Fields includes both Ping'an North Terraced Fields and Jin Kang Red Yao Terraced Fields two scenic spots.
Ping'an Terraced Fields is like a magnificent dragon. Inside Ping'an Terraced Fields, there are 'Nine Dragons and Five Tigers' and 'Seven Stars with the Moon' two unique landscape.
Jin Kang GreatRed Yao Terraced Fields are surrounded by mountains, like a crater, including West Mountain, Big Creek Thousand Layer Terraced Fields, Gold Buddha Peak three scenic spots, like a secluded paradise away from the world.
Transportation Guide
Bus
The terraced fields have three entrances: Ping'an Village, Longji Village and Great, from Guilin to each entrance there are buses, tourists can choose to go independently. If you return to the city, it is recommended to leave before 15:00.
Ping'an Village Entrance
1. First take a fast bus from Guilin to Longsheng City (ticket price 15 yuan, about 2 hours, departure time: 08:00, 09:10, 11:00, 12:00, 13:10, 14:00, 15:10, 16:10, 17:10, 18:20), then transfer to the Ping'an parking lot (Longji) bus (ticket price 6.5 yuan, about 1 hour, departure time: 07:30, 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00), and walk 20 minutes to Ping'an.
2. The return route is the same, but pay attention to the different departure times. Ping'an Parking Lot to Longsheng Departure Times: 07:20, 08:50, 13:00, 15:00, 16:30.
GreatEntrance
1. First take a small bus from Guilin to Longsheng City (same bus as to Ping'an Village entrance, about 1 hour a bus), then transfer to the Longji Mountain bus (ticket price 6.5-8 yuan, about 1 hour, departure time: 07:00-17:00, every 20 minutes a bus). Then transfer to a small minibus or motorcycle to Great, ticket price 3 yuan.
2. Make a reservation in advance, take the direct bus from Wan or to Great, one way 40 yuan/person (the latest departure time is 16:00, specific need to ask the shop), 3 or more people can book a car, all day about 600 yuan (return trip).
Longji Village Entrance
1. If you don't go to Great, you can walk to it from the 'Seven Stars with the Moon' viewing spot near Ping'an, about 40 minutes, the terraced fields are more spectacular.
2. From the road climb to the terraced fields, or walk to the Longji Road direction from Longsheng City for a few minutes, there is a small road being renovated, you can walk along this road to Longji Village, about 3 hours, can save the ticket.
