Near the Coastline: Rongcheng Haoyuanjiao Coastal Greenway East Extension Project Intensified
Qilu Net · Flash News, March 10th: Golden Sand Beach, Vast Pine Forests, Seaweed B&Bs, Clear Seas, and Swallows in Flight… A Picturesque Coastline, a Landscape Painting. Rongcheng Haoyuanjiao Tourist Resort, leveraging its beautiful coastline scenery and resource advantages, adheres to a high-end positioning, prioritizes ecology, and builds a ‘main artery’ of coastal greenways to a high standard, coordinating coastal restoration and landscape matching, and fully committing to building a coastal ecological landscape belt, a health and wellness recreation experience zone, and a leisure tourism economic circle.

For days, the Rongcheng Haoyuanjiao Tourist Resort’s coastal greenway east extension project has been vigorously advanced. This project is being constructed according to national-level coastal tourism highway standards. The greenway design is 3-4 meters wide, featuring colorful sports asphalt paving, and along the route, corresponding tourism service facilities will be installed at key nodes.
According to reports, this project is an important organizational part of Shandong Province’s first tourism highway – the Weihai Coastal Tourism Highway Demonstration Project, which is 63 kilometers long and connects Weihai’s central urban area, industrial zones, the eastern coastal new city, and the Haoyuanjiao Tourist Resort.

Specifically, the Haoyuanjiao area project segment stretches from Na Xianghai to Xixiagou, a total length of more than 20 kilometers. Last year, the completed texture beach area’s 4.8km coastal greenway was accompanied by 2 ecological parking lots, 1 rescue observation tower, and 2 small paved squares, and 2 greenway auxiliary bridges. This year, it will continue to extend 15.4 kilometers to the east, and plan to build more than 60 hectares of original native coastal meadow recreation park, upgrading and renovating 360,000 square meters of green space.
This greenway will link various places such as Na Xianghai Resort Garden and other health and wellness communities, and organically integrate with attractions such as Na Xianghai Coastal Resort Style Park, the Blue Sea Blue Bay Forest Park, and the Xiangting Coastal Wetland Park. Simultaneously, with the advancement of the greenway, related beach sports, dining services, and entertainment facilities are also accompanied, and the overall project is expected to be completed in October this year.
Greenway projects will be integrated with diversified and high-end business formats such as the Tiger Head Corner Ocean Art Town, the Sunrise Port Wetland, the Coastal Campervan Camping Ground, the Seaweed Tribe B&B, and the Chicken Calling Island Seafaring Village. It will also make full use of the 5 national AAA-level or above scenic spots, art venues, red memorial pavilions, and leisure fishing demonstration points, to create a coastal ecological landscape belt, a health and wellness recreation experience zone, and a leisure tourism economic circle.
Tourism highways are the product of the self-driving era, combining transportation and tourism functions, and becoming an important hardware foundation for consumption upgrades and personalized travel. In the construction, Rongcheng Haoyuanjiao Tourist Resort focuses on greenway construction, cleverly integrating the coastal scenery, cultural landscapes, and tourism resources, and actively conducting coastal restoration and beach environment remediation, and has completed 11 stations, and 110 single and double shared bicycles for “tourism” debut mode, striving to build a “tourism highway” model project.
In recent years, Rongcheng Haoyuanjiao Tourist Resort has focused on continuously improving the connotation of the national-level ‘slow living leisure experience zone’, and has continuously increased the construction of leisure landscape and slow living tourism service supporting facilities. The greenway work will create ‘fairytale road’, ‘delicious road’, and ‘leisure road’, allowing visitors to experience a different pace of life than the busy city.
