Here, old things are kept old, and every old house has experienced hundreds of years of vicissitudes.

When I entered the wooden carving workshop, I smelled the fragrance of cedar wood. The wood carving teachers in the water-ink upper river are quietly carving exquisite patterns, and it often takes a long time to complete a small pattern. Here, wood carving is a private custom.

Huguo carvings are delicate and complex, absorbing the expressive techniques of the New An School painting, emphasizing artistic beauty, and using deep relief and round carving, and advocating for hollow effects, which is very three-dimensional. In the past, it could only be eaten on Qingming Festival, but with the development of the economy, we can also eat it now. Qingming fruit is divided into sweet and savory depending on the filling, and is generally made into dumpling shapes. In the Jiangxi and Zhejiang regions, many people make it completely round.

Careful observers will find that the layout of the water-ink upper river is consistent with the Feng Shui principles of ancient people, and the four treasures of writing, painting, ink, and paper are represented.
