Kai Zifeng Peak Tourist Area Granted National AAAA-Level Scenic Area Status

Renmin Net Chongqing, March 21, reported that today, the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Development Commission issued a statement, after the Chongqing Tourism Scenic Quality Appraisal Committee formally approved, Kai Zifeng Tourist Area in Dianjiang County was awarded the national AAAA-level scenic area title.

Kai Zifeng Tourist Area is located in Taiping Town, Dianjiang County, 8 kilometers from the county seat, with an area of more than 20,000 acres; it is one of the first national agricultural tourism demonstration points, and was awarded as one of the 'Top 10 Flower Viewing Spots in Chongqing' in 2012 and as one of Chongqing's 20 New Landmarks in 2013.

Kai Zifeng Tourist Area is themed with 'Mountains, Water, and Peonies', it is the largest 'Mountains, Water, and Peonies' core planting base in Southwest China, and is the preferred destination for viewing peonies and experiencing peony culture. The scenic area includes attractions such as Bailingshan Centennial Peony Garden, Peony Banana Stone Valley, Peony Culture Square, National Flower Pavilion, Yan'an Pavilion, Wangxiang Pavilion, the First Peak of the World's Peonies, Luoxing Stone Ridge, Wind Bell Valley, Mingyue Stone Buddha, and Millennium Ancient Vine; in addition to viewing peony flowers, more than ten large-scale experience amusement projects have been built.(Liu Zhengning, Tan Yunfeng)
