Phuket: Thailand's Pearl – A Romantic Island
Pukhet's beaches are broad and the sea is clear, with pristine white sand, creating a romantic atmosphere that Pukhet showcases as its most beautiful language to everyone.

Pukhet is Thailand's largest island, situated in the midst of this tranquil blue, seemingly nothing can be forgotten. Pukhet has a wide variety of beach types, from serene and peaceful to luxurious and grand, and from those with thriving marine sports to those with vibrant evening entertainment activities… Besides beaches, jungles, and rubber plantations, Pukhet's scenic spots are numerous and representative, considered one of Southeast Asia's most iconic island destinations, hence its nicknames 'Jewel Island' and 'Gold and Silver Island'. It's also known as 'The Pearl of Thailand.'

Karon Beach on Pukhet's west coast is the island's longest beach. The atmosphere here is quieter, so those who prefer tranquility should not miss it. The sunset here is also a must-see. Karon Beach is one of the most developed beach areas on Pukhet Island and is also Pukhet's most important tourist destination. The sea here is clear to the bottom, with a diverse range of underwater life, ranking among the best diving spots in Asia. Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, banana boat rides, sailing, yachts, and other various marine activities, with complete tourist facilities and restaurants and villas that cater to people's tropical fantasies. Of course, don't miss the delicious Thai seafood here, with giant lobsters reaching up to 3 kilograms, which is a local specialty. The bustling night market offers high-quality Thai silk and other handicrafts, and these stalls often operate until midnight.
Located on Pukhet's west coast, Payao Bay is considered the most picturesque place in Southern Thailand, and is also known as 'Little Guilin' by Chinese tourists. It is dotted with hundreds of peculiar limestone islands, many of which look like camel humps, while others resemble upturned cabbages. The limestone interior has 40 or so caves of various sizes layered on top of each other, with rocky formations and ever-changing landscapes. Along the coast, there are waterways and sea caves, with many stalactite formations in the caves, which are truly a world wonder. The northern entrance of Payao Bay is the largest mangrove forest protection area in Thailand, and this mangrove forest is currently one of the best protected. Payao Bay's mountains stand tall, with a stunning sea view, so it has also become a filming location for movies, including the 007 series, where it was filmed on one of its islands, hence it's called '007 Island.'

Visitors to Pukhet Town don't have as many beach visitors as those in the coastal areas. A walk through the weekend market and a cup of tea at a local tea restaurant will leave a deep impression. At the intersection of Amphoe Road and Satun Road is a Portuguese-style old house, which is listed as a Level 1 historical site, but it's currently not open to the public. Along Talan Road are mostly two- or three-story row houses that retain the style of early Chinese immigrants. The row houses on Dib Street, with two stories, are Chinese-style buildings, and this is considered one of the best-preserved Chinese buildings in the town.

Fantasy World Park is Pukhet's most popular tourist destination. The Fantasy Theater puts on spectacular shows every night, such as singing and dancing, magic, acrobatics, and elephant performances. To facilitate viewing for tourists from all countries, there are English and Thai explanations. It presents Thai traditional culture in the form of storytelling. Particularly in the last fifteen elephants walking onto the stage at the end of the program, it is very spectacular. In addition, it also has a theme commercial street, snack stalls, a courtyard restaurant, and a luxurious, modern grand theater, which is a must-visit place.
