Red Network 320 (Guiyang Media Reporter Liu Di, Ou Gui, Xie Xin Yang, Planning/Editing Jiang Zi) "Green water and mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains." In recent years, the Guiyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have increased the ecological environment governance efforts, transforming mines into a national 4A-level scenic area, the "Mother River" Chongling River is clearer and greener, the concept of building ecological Guiyang and sharing the blue sky and clear waters has deeply rooted itself, and a series of beautiful paintings are unfolding across the city.
Quietly watching the mountains sit opposite each other, white birds flutter down the Chongling River. Currently, it's the season when birds migrate, and the Guiyang Chongling National Wetland Park has welcomed a batch of photography "regulars". Zhang Jian is one of them. This is his fourth time this year photographing valuable photos of various rare birds.
Zhang Jian said that in recent years, he has photographed various rare bird species, such as the Mandarin Duck, Golden Whistler, Grey Heron, Fork-tailed Sunbird, and Tufted Duck, along the Chongling River. These harvests are due to the continuous improvement of the Chongling River ecosystem.
To strengthen the protection and management of the Guiyang National Wetland Park, 12 patrol guards are stationed and mapped out, conducting regular patrols of the park and collecting information within the wetland area. They have also planted willows, poplars, and aquatic plants in the restoration and reconstruction area, restoring the wetland vegetation area by 1200 acres and 450 acres for bird habitats, completing the design area of 11085 acres of the Eurobank Hunan Forest Quality Enhancement Demonstration Project on both sides of the Chongling River, and the water quality has reached the national second-class water standard, with a significant increase in wild waterfowl and birds.
Guiyang National Wetland Park Deputy Director Zhang Jun said: "After years of management, currently, the new plants added to the Chongling River are 15 species, and 26 new national protected animals have been added. Now the mountains are greener, the water is clearer, and the plants and animals are more abundant."
To improve the water quality of the Chongling River, the Guiyang National Wetland Park has built a wetland area of 20000 square meters in Chang and Village.
"In the future, we will continue to increase the efforts of ecological protection, ecological restoration, and ecological monitoring, and firmly practice the concept of "Green water and mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains." We will build the wetland park better, giving the people a greater sense of achievement and happiness." Zhang Jun said.
Similarly, "transformation" has also taken place in Baoshan, a former slag heap that was barren and covered with exposed mine tailings has transformed into a national 4A-level industrial mining tourism area. Since 2010, Baoshan Mining has faced the challenges of transformation and ecological governance and invested 470 million yuan to create the Baoshan National Mining Mountain Park with a land area of 7.8 square kilometers. Utilizing the abandoned mining shafts to develop modern industrial and mining tourism has not only filled the gap in the province but also become a beacon for the transformation and circular development of the entire province's mining economy, driving the steady and rapid development of the county's tourism economy.
