Beijing Daily Report (Reporter: Ye Xiaoyan) To prevent potential crowds caused by cherry blossom viewing, Yuhuantan Park has taken a series of flow control measures. When tourists are relatively dense, in the cherry blossom garden area, unidirectional guided tours are implemented; when tourists approach 30% of the carrying capacity, visitors are stopped from entering the park.
To prevent tourists from gathering, the park management office has set up patrol posts, and workers in red work clothes are always reminding visitors not to gather. The entire Yuhuantan Park is divided into 5 zones, with more than 400 employees conducting grid-based inspections to provide security for visitors.
The cherry blossom garden is the best area for cherry blossom viewing, and it is also a relatively crowded area in the past. How to ensure that visitors do not gather in the park? According to a relevant person in charge of the park management office, if the number of visitors in the cherry blossom garden is relatively dense, the park will implement unidirectional guided tours by setting up hard barriers and guiding visitors; if the number of visitors in the park approaches 30% of the daily average carrying capacity, the park will implement flow control measures and suspend visitor entry.
In addition, from the beginning of April 1st to April 15th, the park will close East Gate Parking Lot, West Gate Parking Lot and Seagull Viewing Platform Parking Lot, and suspend opening to the public. The park reminds citizens that from now until April 15th, Yuhuantan Park will implement online appointment and ticket purchase, and will not sell tickets on site. Visitors need to make an appointment for tickets at least one day in advance on the WeChat public account ‘Enjoy Park’ platform.
