Autumn Self-Driving Tour in Northwest Xinjiang

On October 1, 2019, my family finally embarked on our long-dreamed-of four-day trip –North Xinjiang Self-Driving TourThe route is: Urumqi - Kumaisi - Bayinxile - Burqin - Betun - Fuhai - Urumqi. During our self-driving tour, we passed throughWu'erke Town, which is known as the ‘World’s Devil’s City’. The ‘Devil’s City’ landforms are stunning, and the mountains are even more astonishing. The various bizarre shapes really look like individual monsters and devils standing there.Actually, ‘Devil’s City’ is a typical wind-eroded badland, formed in arid, windy environments and named for its unique shapes. After a short stop at ‘Devil’s City’, we continued our journey north. Along the way, the scenery was beautiful, the autumn air was crisp and clear, and the blue sky and white clouds lifted our spirits. We unconsciously drove intothe golden world – Wu'erke White Willow River Grand Canyon. We saw ‘the most beautiful tree’ – Hu (Larkspur).

the shores of the beautiful Urengu Lake. Here, the lake water is blue and clear, the lake is vast, the beach is gentle, and there are many water birds. The scenery is beautiful and picturesque, and it is known as ‘the Gobi Sea’.Xinjiang is the city furthest from the sea, and for us, it was like seeing the sea, making us jump for joy.
