Climbing on the hill, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Jiangyang Bridge and the adjacent Wenchang Bridge and Beijing Heart Conference Center can be seen in one go. According to the construction personnel, they are constructing part of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal landscape construction project, which is the Wenchang Bridge East Park.

From the effect diagram, it can be seen that the Wenchang Bridge East Park is centered on this small hill. The hill is not only planned to plant trees and lay grass, but the top of the hill also has a landscape pavilion. At the same time, there are small roads.

At the foot of the hill, a ring-shaped footpath is planned, as well as a rest corridor. Along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the shore is planned to build a fitness footpath. On the shore, a near-waterway footpath is planned. Not only is the northeast corner of the bridge being built, but the under-bridge space of the Wenchang Bridge will also be utilized, planning to build some children’s playgrounds and fitness facilities, creating a playground and fitness venue for children and citizens.

Jiangyang Bridge East Shore is also under construction. Like the Wenchang Bridge, the Jiangyang Bridge East Shore and under the bridge, will also be built into citizen leisure small parks. From Wanfu Road to Development Road, the west bank of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is leveling the land and piling soil into shapes.

It is learned that the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal landscape construction project in the urban section, north to Wantu, south to National Highway 328. It is divided into three sections, from the northern side of Wantu to the planned Anhui Road is the ecological vitality segment, from Anhui Road to Jiangyang Bridge is the urban core segment, from Jiangyang Bridge to the south to the new National Highway 328 is the urban double repair segment.

The entire Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal landscape construction project, due to local conditions, planned a series of small citizen parks, combined into the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal landscape belt. These citizen parks include the convergence point park, Wantu area park, Jiangyang Bridge East and West Parks, Wenchang Bridge East and West Parks, etc. After the landscape belt is built, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal urban section along the line will not only improve and enhance the environment, with the landing of other supporting projects, it will also become ‘Yangzhou Bund’.
