Some cities are so large that after I visited them, I didn't dare to summarize and write a travel account. So I always start with smaller places, and then I discovered the tourism and cultural soul of this city.

Last summer, I went to Jinan for the first time, staying in Jinan for 4 days. Although I couldn't say I really knew Jinan, I visited the main attractions and wrote some small spot guides. Today, looking back, I want to share a relatively comprehensive Jinan travel guide to help those who want to go reference.

I like Jinan. I summarize Jinan's highlights as 'Eight characters: Old streets, clear springs, scenic mountains, and beautiful city.'

Old Streets

Let's talk about Jinan's old streets. Before coming to Jinan, like many people, I just knew 'Summer lotus flowers by Weitang Lake'. When I really came to Jinan, I traced the history of this city, and it really started with the famous old streets in Jinan.

Jinan is relatively low-key. The two streets I want to talk about have a history, but their fame is not very large. Both streets are food streets, one is Huanghe Street, and the other is Furong Street. These two streets are not far apart and are all near the Jinan Square.

These two old streets don't have any historical sites. They were built later, and the streets are mainly retro buildings and food. These two streets are the first choice for Jinan tourists to taste the old Jinan flavor. However, some people complain that these two food streets are now too commercialized. My feeling is that they are commercialized, but Huanghe Street is much better than Furong Street.

Clear Springs

Jinan is called 'Spring City', so springs are the biggest feature. The most famous is Baihu Spring, and the more popular Black Tiger Spring are all worth visiting. When I went to Jinan, I didn't see Baihu Spring because I heard that Baihu Spring's water isn't very abundant, and many people said that Black Tiger Spring is better. So I went to see the springs on the Weitang River side.

Black Tiger Spring is the highlight. When visiting Jinan, many people will think of drinking cool spring water. I was worried that I couldn't taste Jinan's sweet spring water at first. In fact, as long as I go along the Weitang River, I can see some free spring spots. I think the spring near Black Tiger Spring is the best to drink.

In addition to Black Tiger Spring, there is also a place that can well reflect the characteristics of Jinan's spring city, that is, Qu Shui Street. Because of the clear water on this street, tourists also like it. When I was there, I had a good impression.

Scenic Mountains

Jinan has mountains, which are beautiful mountains that can overlook the entire Jinan. When you come to Jinan, you must go to live. Qianfo Mountain is a famous tourist attraction in Jinan, but if you haven't been to Jinan, you may not know it. There are many Qianfo Mountains across China, but I think Jinan's is the most authentic.

The reasons are three: First, Qianfo Cave is the grandest cave I have ever seen. Second, Qianfo Mountain has temples and legends, which are integrated with the culture of this city. Third, the scenery of Qianfo Mountain is beautiful, with Buddha statues carved in detail.

Strictly speaking, Qianfo Mountain is a park in Jinan. There are many Jinan locals who come to exercise every day, and many tourists go to Qianfo Mountain early in the morning to climb to see the entire Jinan. It's really a good experience.

Beautiful City

Beautiful City' should be the whole city of Jinan. First, from the natural scenery, Jinan's Weitang River and Daming Lake are familiar to everyone and must be visited when coming to Jinan. Because of the water, Jinan has a southern city's small bridge and flowing water feeling, which is very good.

In addition, it is particularly worth mentioning the Jinan Constructed Spring City Square. I have posted some videos here. Every day, the music fountain performance takes place here, especially at night, the music fountain performance is very popular with Jinan citizens and tourists. This is a representative of Jinan's beauty.

Overall, Jinan is actually a very good city, although it seems that many people forget it when traveling to Jinan, but when you really come here, you may have a different feeling. Shandong is awkward because Qingdao is more famous than Jinan, so many people forget Jinan. This is also one of the main reasons why many people forget Jinan.
