In the border area of Hubei and Anhui provinces, a national 5A scenic area with over 1000-meter peaks.
Located in the transition zone of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui provinces along the Dabie Mountains, it stretches for hundreds of miles within each province, showcasing different natural landscapes. However, the most scenic place is undoubtedly within Anhui Province, where the 'Last Remaining Patch of Primitive Forest in East China' National 5A-level scenic area, Heavenly Village, is located.
On the map, the Golden Village is just a small point located in the southwest of Jinzhai and Jinzhou counties, but in 1947, it was the forward command headquarters of Liu and Deng armies' thousand-mile leap across the Dabie Mountains, a great turning point in the history of Chinese military warfare. The original forward command headquarters has been rebuilt, featuring traditional Hui architectural style with brick and wood structures and blue-brick flooring, recreating the historical facts before and after the Liu and Deng armies' epic journey.
The museum contains a large number of pictures, texts and exhibits that recreate the dramatic historical facts before and after the Liu and Deng armies' journey across the Dabie Mountains. During the Dabie Mountains period, the Liu and Deng armies overcame numerous difficulties, defeated the enemy and constantly created war miracles.
Heavenly Village was formerly known as Hengshan, also named Duo Yun Shan. With a forest cover rate of 96.5%, it is a natural large oxygen zone. The scenic area covers a total area of 120 square kilometers, with 25 peaks above 1000 meters, and the highest peak in Heavenly Village is one of the main peaks of the Dabie Mountains. Entering Heavenly Village, you'll hear the sound of rushing water, water gathering the spirit of the mountains, and the trees swaying in the wind, creating a lush and verdant landscape.
'Walked through Huang'e Tai and Lu, only Heavenly Water is the best.' Water is the soul of Heavenly Village, it creates a misty and ethereal landscape, becoming a paradise for flowers and diverse plants and animals. Because of this water, the ancient mountain vegetation is abundant and primeval, with towering ancient trees, earning it the title of 'Last Remaining Patch of Primitive Forest in East China.'
Heavenly Village has abundant water sources, especially during the rainy season, with over 40 waterfalls in the scenic area, the most famous of which is the rare 'Waterfall Group Scenic Area': Jiu Ying Waterfall, Chui Qian Waterfall, Xie Yu Waterfall, Bing Jing Waterfall, Yin Gong Waterfall, with drops of more than 40 meters separated by a short distance, presenting themselves to visitors one after another.
The most beautiful places leave the deepest impression. Walking downstream, the clear sound of the water accompanies you, and everything around you is washed with green, making you want to jump along the winding path.
Water has its color, and mountains have their character. Leaving the waterfall group, you enter the gorge scenic area, where the landscape is suddenly rugged. If water is gentle and affectionate, the rocks in the gorge are full of masculine power.
The Golden Village gorge scenic area originated from the tectonic movement of the Yanshan period 130 million years ago, which caused rock layer fracturing, the underlying rock is about 2.6 billion years old Bigaya metamorphic rock. Saying that rocks have no words is a misconception. If you carefully appreciate them, every ripple on each rock tells a story of time.
Over long periods of time, regardless of peace or war, the scenery of Golden Village has always been as beautiful as it was in its prime. The heroes of that era, if they could see this mountain and water, would be pleased to see the hardships they once guarded.
