Overstuffed! Enjoying All Authentic Malaysian Food in Singapore – Just Head to This Street!
It’s possible to eat all the food of Malaysia on one street, and it’s in Singapore, you won’t believe it! At the entrance of Singapore’s Sentosa Universal Studios, there’s a ‘Malaysia Food Street’ where all Malaysian delicacies are gathered in one place, and they’re all from genuine Malaysian old establishments, incredibly cheap and generously portioned – the value for money is truly amazing.

Once you step into the food street, you’ll be stunned. Just moments ago, you were playing in Singapore Universal Studios, and instantly you’re transported back to an old Malaysian street scene. Though small, it’s complete with all five senses, and there are plenty of shops and tourists. You can imagine all Malaysian delicacies here, and the shop styles are definitely appealing for purchase!

The unique Old Street scene, Malaysia’s famous street food stalls appear at every corner. From Kuala Lumpur’s Claypot Chicken Rice to Penang Hokkien Mee, to Pasir Mas Bak Kut Teh, they’re all my favorites! You ask me what I want to eat today, and I’ll tell you, only children make choices, and I want everything!

Ordering here is very humanized, because many shops, everyone wants to eat more than one thing, just tell the merchant what you want to eat, then tell them where you're sitting, and they’ll bring it to your seat. We shop and eat while walking, and we have to try everything that looks good, then we go back to our seats to wait for the delicious food to arrive.

First, let’s have a refreshing Lemon Balm juice to start, the sourness instantly excites the stomach, combined with ice cubes and a cool chill, it instantly washes away the fatigue of playing, and then we're ready to eat heartily!

Chuan Kee Claypot Chicken Rice: Chuan Kee perfected the technique of this delicious dish, slowly simmering it over charcoal, allowing it to permeate with a magical aroma, making this claypot rice incredibly memorable. Using three different types of rice creates a fluffy texture, paired with savory, fragrant salted fish steeped in fragrant sesame oil, giving it a unique traditional flavor. Chuan Kee also uses a unique charcoal-covered lid to ensure that the claypot rice is cooked perfectly, and it’s still steaming hot when served.
Pasir Mas Bak Kut Teh: A must-try! Finally, I can eat Bak Kut Teh, which I’ve always wanted to try in Singapore. This fragrant, medicinal pork bone soup is generally believed to originate from Pasir Mas. The pork has soaked in the aroma of herbs, becoming incredibly tender and juicy, paired with fluffy white rice, truly amazing!

Half a chicken was directly ordered, made from a steamed chicken, immersed in a special homemade garlic chili sauce, paired with a touch of golden lemon and sour orange. Special chicken oil rice is the special accompaniment to Hainanese Chicken Rice. It’s extremely satisfying to eat just the rice!

Fujian Prawn Mee: Please visit this shop to taste the perfectly refined Fujian Prawn Mee with abundant authentic flavor after 26 years. The secret lies in the broth, made from stir-fried prawn shells and homemade chili sauce, it’s incredibly delicious!

Seafood Satay: A string of juicy, plump meat blocks grilled on traditional charcoal, with a signature satay sauce made from mixed, ground peanuts, rich pineapple, forming a delicious combination. Chicken and beef are both popular, juicy and flavorful, leaving a lingering aroma, so delicious!

We come in vertically and go out horizontally, and the food here is too delicious! My Malaysian friend said that these flavors are truly authentic and worth trying. And when calculated, the per capita consumption is less than 100, and everyone has eaten very full, the value for money is amazing!
