Beijing Baitou Temple: A Mystical Ancient Monastery Hidden in the Deep Mountains
There is a mystical-colored ancient temple, Bai Pu Temple, in the mountains of Beijing Mentougou, located in Yu Bai Village, Jin An Town. Surrounded by mountains on four sides and rarely visited, it is a hidden gem.

This temple was rebuilt in 1998 and completed in May 22, 2016. Its biggest feature is that the Buddhist statues are placed outdoors, which makes Bai Pu Temple a magical building.

The architecture of Bai Pu Temple seems mystical but doesn't deviate from tradition. Visiting Bai Pu Temple gives a sense of relaxation. Whether monks or laypeople, everyone is very friendly and won't chase you to preach. There are no bizarre rules, and you can freely take photos of the Buddha statues you like. It's like 'a clear mind, a pure land' – lotus flowers bloom everywhere, each one a clean land, and each land is like a thousand-Buddha land.
The best way to get to Bai Pu Temple is by self-driving. The fastest way to take public transportation is to take the 6th subway line to Jin An Bridge C exit, transfer to M16 Yu Bai Xia, and walk 5.4 kilometers.

Bai Pu Temple has no entrance fee, and the parking fee is 15 yuan, unlimited time. The Bai Pu Vegetarian Restaurant in the temple offers vegetarian food to eat.
