Real-Shot: Chinese Brand Supermarkets in India's Capital, New Delhi - Packed with Shoppers, Indians Rushing to Buy
This is Liu Xiaoshun's Travel and Life Research Institute.
New Delhi, the capital of India, is located in northern India and is the national political, economic, and cultural center of India, as well as the largest commercial city in northern India. With the increasing frequency of exchanges between India and China, Chinese people are no longer unfamiliar with India, and more and more Chinese brands are entering the Indian market.
Recently, when I traveled to India's capital, New Delhi, I happened to see a very familiar store in the city center. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a Chinese brand chain supermarket! It's almost ubiquitous in China, and now they've even opened in India, which sparked a strong sense of curiosity in me.
I couldn't resist entering the supermarket to browse. The interior design and product categories were similar to those in China, and I almost felt like I had suddenly traveled back to China. What was even more surprising was that this Chinese brand supermarket was so popular in India, with almost every shop packed and doing very well!
Finally, I waited in line at the cashier, and there were many Indians waiting, which was also quite impressive. It made me feel very proud to see that Chinese brands were so popular in India. However, when I told my Indian friend about it, he was puzzled and asked, 'Isn't this a Japanese supermarket?' How could it be a Chinese brand?'
Later, I explained to my Indian friend that although the supermarket had a Japanese design style, it was a genuine Chinese brand. In addition to this supermarket, I also saw many Chinese brands specializing in digital high-tech products in New Delhi, which also attracted a large number of Indian people, making me feel proud of 'taking the initiative' Chinese brands.
Have you ever traveled to India's capital, New Delhi? What are your impressions of New Delhi? When you travel in New Delhi, have you seen Chinese brands locally? Do you think Chinese brands are really popular in India? If you have the opportunity in the future, where would you like to travel to India? Please leave a comment and let us know!
