Yunnan Jiangchuan: Xixiang Zhuang Mulberry Harvest - Come and Check-in!

From March to April every year, mulberry is the peak harvest season. In Jiangchuan District, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, especially in Xixiang Zhuang Town, almost every household grows mulberry trees, with hundreds in some places and more than ten in others. Come to Xixiang Zhuang to experience the joy of hand-picking mulberries, and have a 'beautiful encounter' with the taste buds and mulberries, which is a good choice for spring outing and hiking.
As soon as you enter Xixiang Zhuang, rows of green and thriving mulberry trees greet you along both sides of the road. Looking out, it's a sea of green, and the green waves ripple in the spring breeze, and the air is filled with the delicate sweetness of mulberries. Every tree is laden with plump mulberries, and the fruit looks mouthwatering. The ripe ones can be easily picked by gently touching them with your hand, and you can hold a handful in your palm and bite into it, and the purple juice will instantly splatter across your mouth.

Bright, plump and sweet mulberries are the scenery in people's eyes and the delicious food in their mouths. Mulberries can be eaten directly, or used to make wine, or displayed on the table. 'Three mulberry competition is as good as ginseng' – due to the special growing environment of the mulberry tree, mulberries have the characteristics of natural growth and no pollution, so mulberries are also known as 'folk holy fruit'. It is reported that the nutritional value of mulberries is 5-6 times that of apples and 4 times that of grapes, with the effects of lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and promoting hair growth and beauty.

In the field, villagers are busy picking mulberries. They either stand under the trees or climb up the branches, reaching out to pick and eat, which is so enjoyable. The villagers say that although not many households grow mulberry trees, the economic benefits are quite considerable, and they still want to expand the scale of planting, so that mulberry trees will become 'money-making trees' for making a fortune.
