Winter Warm-Up Choice: Delicious Radish and Beef Bone Soup ()
What kind of food is best for winter? Definitely soups! Because it's so cold, soup warms you up. Whether it's made with radishes and beef bones or pork bones, it's all delicious. Soups, in particular, require a good amount of bone. The more flavorful the bone, the fresher and more nutritious the soup will be.
A few days ago, I added a new dish to my repertoire: radish and beef bone soup. It's incredibly delicious and I still crave it now. Today, I'm going to share the recipe with you. First, we'll select a beautiful beef spinal column. We soak the beef bones in clean water to extract their essence.
During this soaking process, it's crucial to thoroughly remove the blood. Change the water frequently until the water runs clear. Then, we retrieve the soaked bones and place them in a pot, along with ginger slices and a splash of rice wine to eliminate any fishy smell. Bring it to a boil.
At this point, you'll still have blood foam; now, we retrieve the bones and rinse them thoroughly with warm water to remove all traces of blood foam. This ensures the bones are perfectly clean.
Next, we place the cleaned bones in a pressure cooker. Add plenty of water, along with green onions, star anise, and ginger, and pressure cook for about thirty minutes. Make sure the beef is fully tender, then move the pressure cooker aside and focus on preparing the radishes. Peel and chop the prepared radishes into large chunks, then rinse them thoroughly in water. The bones should be perfectly cooked at this point. Pour the pressure cooker's broth and bones into a pot, and then add the cleaned radishes.
