I've made these small snacks many times, they're so delicious that I always finish them every time.

Author/San Bao Ma

Every time I make small snacks, they always use red dates, and the children always finish them. Red dates have a natural sweetness, which is delicious and enjoyable for children who don't like sweets.

Red dates are truly worthy of being called 'the king of all fruits.' They are rich in vitamins and minerals, with vitamin C content 70-80 times that of apples. Such a good ingredient cannot be missed.

These sweet and chewy small desserts are a good choice for babies as a snack between meals.

Instructions

Ingredient Details

1. Wash and soak red dates for 30 minutes.

Tips: When choosing red dates, try to select ones of similar size, not too small.

Red dates must be soaked until plump, which makes the final product taste better.

2. Pour glutinous rice flour into a bowl, add 25g of warm formula milk, and knead into a glutinous rice dough for later use.

Tips: Do not add formula milk all at once, add it in stages, with a temperature of 45℃, which feels not hot to the touch.

3. Cut each red date in half, without cutting it completely, and remove the red date kernel.

Tips: Be careful with the knife during the cutting process.

4. Take an appropriate amount of glutinous rice dough, knead into the shape of a red date kernel, and place it in the cut red dates, gently pressing them together.

5. Sprinkle with white sesame and place it in a dish.

6. Place it in a steamer and steam for 10 minutes. If using a steamer, add water and steam for 10 minutes.

7. After steaming, take it out, let it cool, and then it can be eaten. Because glutinous rice is not easily digested, small babies can eat 2-3 pieces at most.

Tips: It is important to note that before the baby eats, the red date skin must also be removed for the baby to prevent the danger of swallowing during the swallowing process.
