Exploring Thai 7-Eleven Convenience Stores: Cold Drinks, Bird's Nest, Instant Noodles, and My Daily Meals

I have some reflections on my recent trip to Thailand.

Although I had done thorough research before going, I never expected that the local 7-Eleven convenience stores would become my daily must-visit places.

It’s mainly because they are incredibly convenient, offering not only basic necessities but also attracting my attention with their delicious food. Let me briefly share some of them.

Beverage Section

Thailand is a tropical country, and it’s incredibly hot. I truly felt that 7-Eleven was a lifesaver in this hot environment, as they had plenty of cold drinks.

The variety is amazing, with all kinds of flavored sodas and milk, and they all taste good.

Of course, I couldn't forget trying the bird's nest that I had planned to try when doing research, and I was really happy when I finally tasted it.

The bird's nest in 7-Eleven in Thailand is delicious and affordable, and I almost drank it every day. There were different brands, both expensive and cheap, and I couldn't tell much difference, probably just different concentrations.

You can freely try all the drinks in 7-Eleven; every try is an adventure, and it's all full of surprises!

When you go to Thailand, you absolutely must drink a drink at 7-Eleven. It’s so refreshing in the hot weather.

Simple Recipes

For breakfast in Thailand, I mostly go to 7-Eleven, mainly because I don't really like the local Thai breakfasts. I tried a seafood soup noodle, and I won't eat it again, it's too heavy.

So, my breakfast is mainly provided by 7-Eleven, which matches my personal dietary habits: eggs, rice balls, sandwiches, and instant noodles, all covered.

Maybe I’m used to fully cooked hard-boiled eggs, and I think the slightly runny eggs here are delicious, and I even feel that my previous hard-boiled eggs were wasted.

Rice balls come in different flavors, so choose whatever you like.

The store clerk will heat the rice balls for you after you pay, so don't eat them too quickly, or you’ll burn your mouth.

Instant noodles are seafood noodles, but they’re different from the ones I ate locally, with a very fresh taste.

The sandwich is just a regular one, if you like it, you can try it.

Snacks

There are many kinds of snacks, like chips, dry noodles, and cookies, but I mostly choose the refrigerated items because it's too hot.

I highly recommend crab sticks. I love eating them.

The packaging of crab sticks is also very special, with mustard and seafood sauce packets on the sealed edge, which you tear open, half is crab sticks and the other half is seasoning.

Puff pastry is delicious, small and bite-sized, and a box is enough to finish eating without feeling greasy.

I bought yogurt and cake together, and it's a sinful late-night snack, but the cake is okay except for the creamy frosting, and the cake texture is a bit rough, but the price is also very cheap.

When you spend a certain amount at 7-Eleven, you will be given a stamp, and I checked mine, they are all Doraemon, unfortunately, they’re too small, and I lost them.

7-Eleven also supports mobile payment, which is very friendly to those of us who are used to mobile payments.

Although 7-Eleven exists in different places, each place has its own unique features. If you have the opportunity, you should go and experience it yourself.
