Jinan Liberation East Road Cherry Blossoms Have Bloomed, Large-Scale Bloom Will Take About a Week
Jiangnan has no ownership, let's give a branch of spring as a gift. As the temperature rises, some cherry trees in the city district are gradually opening, and citizens can enjoy a feast for the eyes in Jinan. On the morning of March 16th, a reporter saw that several cherry trees were already opening in the wind, adding a lot of spring colors.

The cherry trees on Liberation East Road are Japanese early cherries, with fluffy buds in pale pink and white flowers. The cherry trees are about three meters high and about 15 centimeters in diameter. The distance between each tree is about 1.5 meters. In addition to early cherries, there are climbing roses and upright holly trees.
The red leaf stern within the cherry tree's shade is thriving well, the red leaves and green evergreen plants are very beautiful together.
In December 2018, the Lingqu District Park and Greenery Service Center planted Japanese early cherries from Qizhou on Liberation East Road. The greening project is 4.2 kilometers long and covers an area of 15000 square meters, which is the largest Japanese early cherry in Jinan and is known as the 'Cherry Blossom Avenue'

Early cherries are native to Japan, and countries and regions at the same latitude as Japan, as well as Beijing, Xi'an, Qingdao, Nanjing, and Nanchang, many gardens cultivate them. There are many ornamental varieties, and the best time to appreciate early cherries is around mid-March, and the flowering period is about one week.
Whenever you mention cherry blossoms, most people's minds immediately come up with the image of viewing the distant Mount Fuji through pink cherry blossoms. Domestic cherry blossom landscapes such as Wuhan University are mostly pink. The reporter learned that Japanese early cherries have white petals and fluffy buds with a slight pink hue. After the flowers wither, the petals fall off, but the flower stems can still persist for a few days, and they look like a red cloud from a distance.
Relevant staff members of Lingqu District Park and Greenery Service Center said that the early cherries on Liberation East Road are gradually opening, but it will take about a week for the large-scale opening, and citizens need to be patient.
In addition to Japanese early cherries, the greening on Liberation East Road was created according to the principle of 'high and low staggered, dense and sparse', using a double row of trees plus high-specification early cherries, creating a better greening and beautification landscape. The road greening provides multi-level plant landscapes according to different sites, providing good shade.
