Crossing Death Valley – Mobile Signalless Throughout

Listening to California Country Music, heading west.

  • Traversal trajectory: At 2:00 PM, my companion and I departed from Las Vegas and drove to Los Angeles. We didn't choose the highway, we crossed Death Valley and saw many novel things in the valley. Now, I'm sharing it with everyone~

Travel trajectory

  • Death Valley highest peak: In the valley, it's a Tor Disturbance, the only thing left in front of us is shock, the wind is really strong, I couldn't open my eyes when I was blown to the top. The family of four from Europe, accompanied by a dad and mom, brought their two children to climb to the top. The children were excited but also very cold, always hiding their heads in their jackets.

Death Valley

  • Dante's Gaze: On the small hill on the road to Dante's Observation Point, the most memorable thing during the journey is 'Dante's Observation Point'. It's a road not marked on the map, we drove down for half an hour, there was no one on the road, out of fear we returned to the main road and made an appointment with our companions to explore it later.

Dante 1

  • Rock shape: The ground temperature is over 100 Fahrenheit, we saw two black tire tracks left on the road, it's hard to distinguish whether it's a dream or a reality. Every time I stand on the observation point, it's shrouded in clouds, I suspect I've entered a realm of no one, it also looks a bit like Flame Mountain.

Death Valley

  • What I saw and heard: There are many RVs passing by on the road, I glanced at them, and almost everyone sitting inside was elderly European couples. The driver is a white-haired old man, and the co-pilot is an old grandma, I guess they must be coming to fulfill their youthful dreams! I hope I can live a comfortable retirement and have someone willing to accompany me to travel around the world and explore every corner of the earth.

RV travel

  • Across the mountain and across the water: Nature is wonderfully created like a fairyland. Along the way, my companions and I chatted and watched the scenery, time flew by, and soon it was almost sunset, so we wanted to chase the setting sun and head west – LA-we are coming~

Death Valley

  • National Park: We crossed the river shown above, drove a section of winding mountain road and arrived at another national park. Here we met many people of similar age to me, mostly students on summer vacation. We chatted together, talked about our schools and countries, where we came from... after a good interaction, we took pictures for each other to keep a memory.

  • Heavenly Sunset: Pink sunset, I named it Heavenly Sunset. At this time, we have already entered Death Valley and California, on the highway going to Los Angeles, we stopped at the roadside viewing area to watch the sun gradually go down, and said goodnight to the world.

Heavenly Sunset

Successful traversal after successful traversal, I can give everyone some small suggestions

  1. National Park signals are generally not good, it is recommended to bring paper maps/offline maps before entering.
  2. You must buy a car and add a large three-party insurance, fill up the oil for the car before traveling.
  3. Remember local emergency rescue phone numbers, if there is an accident, call for help immediately.
  4. Bring food and water, there are no supermarkets or shops in Death Valley, there are only a few hotels.
  5. Finally, I wish you all a safe return on every trip.

ps: This is my first time writing an article, if you have any constructive comments, welcome to comment! I hope you like it~
