8 ‘Most Beautiful Hiking Routes’, Deqin Classic Hiking Routes, Attract Tourists to Enjoy the Scenery
In 2019, the Deqin Culture and Tourism Bureau planned to launch 8 'Most Beautiful Hiking Routes' successively, covering a large number of attractions or scenic areas in Deqin and creating classic Deqin hiking routes to attract a large number of tourists to enjoy the scenery.
The first route, Meili Snow Mountain-Rainpo River Hiking: West Rainpo-Upper Rainpo-Main Camp-Lower Rainpo-God Waterfall-Nian Nong Valley. Rainpo's high-altitude alpine meadows, snow mountains, colorful forests, god waterfalls, and ice lakes attract countless tourists. On a sunny day, you can see the Golden Sand Mountain. Hiking in Rainpo in May is the season when azaleas are in full bloom.
The second route, White Horse Snow Mountain National Park Primitive Forest Hiking: (V-shaped Valley-Red Slope Village) Benzi Lan, Yujie Village (Ni Ding) hiking; Niting-Caitou Town hiking. The White Horse Snow Mountain system is a majestic and winding huge mountain range with abundant wild mushrooms and countless wildflowers, lush green vegetation, and world-class star species such as the Yunnan golden monkey and leopard.
The third route, Palagar Gong Hiking Route: 2-day-1-night itinerary: Flower Pond and Flower Pond-Shangba La Buddha Temple-Flower Pond and Flower Pond-Homestay; 3-day-2-night itinerary: Flower Pond and Homestay-Shangba La Buddha Temple-Niding Ranch-Daheng Buddhist Temple-Niding Ranch-Shangba La Buddha Temple; 4-day-3-night itinerary: Shangba La Buddha Temple-Shangba La Buddha Temple-Niding Ranch.
Palagar Gong Scenic Area is mainly dominated by canyon landscapes. At the foot of the canyon, there is an unceasing stream of the Gongqu River and a unique canyon cliff landscape, as well as a dry hot valley landscape similar to the African savanna. In the middle of the canyon, there is a dense primitive forest, and various rare birds and beasts and strange flowers and trees. At the top of the canyon, there are majestic snow peaks and ice lakes, with high-altitude flower bushes and medicinal herbs and flowing sand beaches.
The fifth route, Niru Hiking: Luo Ji Township—Sudu Lake, with a total length of 67 kilometers. The 'World's First Village' Niru, located in the northeastern part of Xianggelila City, Qiandongping Tibetan Autonomous Region, surrounded by green mountains and forests, has been known as a secret destination. In mid-June, azaleas are blooming all over the mountains, and the blue sky and white clouds, snow mountains, lakes, forests, and villages are like paradise on earth.
Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge Hiking: From Shangri-La Tourist Service Point (Ticket Hall) to Zhongnuo (Ni Ya Ge) 2 hours to 28 turns 1.5 hours to Tea Horse Inn 2 hours; Tea Horse Inn to Zhong Tiger Leaping Gorge return 2-3 hours; Ancient Road Nut Tree Family to Zhong Tiger Leaping Gorge return 2.5-3 hours. Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area is one of 'China's Ten Most Beautiful Canyons', with a total length of 23 kilometers, a drop of 213 meters within 20 kilometers, and an altitude of 5596 meters and 5396 meters for the snow peaks of Ya and Haba, and 1600 meters and 1800 meters for the lower and upper mouths of the canyon, with a height difference of 3596 meters above sea level, which is comparable to the Colorado Grand Canyon in the United States and the Yellow River Grand Canyon in Tibet.
The seventh route, Haba Snow Mountain Hiking: Haba Village-Haba Snow Mountain, due to its low latitude, relatively warm climate, short climbing cycle, no difficult terrain in the rock area, no obvious ice cracks on the snow line, Haba Snow Mountain has always been the favorite climbing peak for mountaineers.
