Combining the beauty of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, yet quieter than Jiuzhaigou with a richer ethnic flavor.
Located in the main tourist route from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, Muni River boasts the highest altitude of 4070 meters and an average annual temperature of about 4 degrees Celsius. The scenic area features a stunning combination of mountains, forests, caves, and seas, with dense woods and numerous lakes that rival Jiuzhaigou in beauty.

Entering Muni River is like wandering through a seemingly endless series of narrow alleys, with lush forests stretching as far as the eye can see. These ancient trees, many of them centuries old, are covered with various epiphytes. As I traversed the primeval forest, the scent of the forest grew stronger and more profound. The clear blue water encircled the dense woods, a refreshing green brushing against my face, and the verdant mountains on either side were enveloped by lazy, drifting clouds.

Muni River's scenery is no less impressive than that of Jiuzhaigou. Because it has a richer ethnic flavor, it integrates the beauty of Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, but it's quieter than Jiuzhaigou.
Especially in winter, it won't freeze, even with heavy snowfall, you can still enter, of course you need a local guide.
A high-altitude gorge is dotted with numerous small lakes, some hidden in the dense forests, others exposed to the blue sky. The clear lakes are connected, but each lake has a unique color and theme. We then arrived at Pearl Hot Spring, where bubbles continuously emerge from the bottom of the rectangular pool, resembling pearls. In the warm sunshine, soaking our feet in Pearl Hot Spring is the most delightful experience.

Muni River scenic area has undulating mountains, deep valleys, and winding canyons, featuring a comprehensive area that integrates large-scale calcium carbonate waterfalls, kettle lakes, high-altitude collapsed lakes, calcium carbonate color pools, calcium carbonate caves, collapsed pits, and forests, meadows, and hot springs. It boasts abundant flora and fauna, fresh air, and ample sunshine.

In the expanse of green forests, the lakes of Tian'e Lake, Baihua Lake, and Rhino Lake, like gemstones, embellish the landscape. At the southern end of the valley, there is a hot spring lake with a water temperature of 21℃, known as Zhujiehu, which is said to be created by nine-day fairies to heal and beautify women when Yellow Dragon Real Person was migrating from Duodai to Yellow Dragon.
Looking up at the waterfall, the blue sky and a white cloud float above, dreamlike and illusory. Blue sky, snow peaks, waterfalls, and forests, along with countless small waterfalls scattered among the firs and cedars, form a picturesque scene of water flowing through trees and trees flowing through water – how beautiful is Muni River!

The mountains are dark and thick, as if unyielding, with cheerful birds, leisurely cattle and horses, and early Tibetan women, passing by from time to time. The tall mountains and clear rivers accompany me along the way.

In autumn, under the blue sky, the jungle and water are tranquil and serene, combined with the crisp morning air, invigorating the mind and mood, creating a perfect start to the day.

Muni River's landscape is mainly characterized by its original forests, high-altitude lakes, hot springs, giant calcium carbonate waterfalls, ring waterfalls, calcium carbonate color pools. The scenic area consists of Zaga Waterfall and Duodai two parts. Mountains, water, forests, and all are cleverly integrated here.
The lakes in the valley have shallow blue colors and several lakes are green, but the layers are different: shallow green, deep green, blue-green and black green. One lake is black green, creating a dizzying feeling. The lake surface is windless, with tall rotten wood and scattered tree branches quietly sinking to the bottom, emitting a profound beauty that transcends the ages.
