European Cross-Border Hotel: Beds Divide the Border Line, One Turn Over and You're in Another Country
We all choose to stay in hotels when we go out for leisure. The hotels we usually stay in are various and distinctive, just like the ones we see online. However, there is one hotel in Europe that can be said to be unique in the world – it is a transnational hotel that directly spans Switzerland and France.

The name of the hotel is Hotel Arbez. As early as the 18th century, this hotel was just a small grocery store. At that time, France and Switzerland did not have clear territorial divisions, so the area where the grocery store was located did not have a clear boundary line.
Until 1862, France and Switzerland re-established the border line, and the border line just divided this grocery store into two parts, one in France and one in Switzerland. In 1912, a wealthy man bought the grocery store and converted it into a hotel, naming it Hotel Arbez.

Today, the hotel has a history of 106 years. Because this hotel is a truly transnational hotel, its external building design and internal decoration all have the characteristics of France and Switzerland.

Many French people who go to Switzerland to ski will choose to stay here for one night. Many Swiss people who travel to France will choose to experience exotic atmosphere here in advance. The interior decoration of the hotel is also very distinctive, except for the 6th and 9th rooms, the rest of the rooms span two countries.
The hotel also placed some double beds on the border line, and the entire bed was divided by the border line, with one side in France and the other in Switzerland. When people sleep in bed, they often flip over and their whole person will directly fall into another country.
