Bariquan Grassland Wetland Ice Melting, Migratory Birds Returning North
Tianshan Net Report (Text/Photo by Reporter Soroushi Subei and Correspondent Dawuti Heshati) The wetlands of Bariquan Grassland are gradually becoming lively in March. Large flocks of wild geese, red mandarin ducks, and satin jacanas have flown in to this place, becoming a beautiful landscape. On March 22nd, several wild geese were flapping their wings on the wetland, as if showing off their strong 'arms' to their companions, while red mandarin ducks were foraging and playing.
In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of Bariquan Grassland and the increasing awareness of all ethnic groups to protect wild plants and animals, the species and number of wild birds have increased, Bariquan Grassland wetlands have become a natural habitat for migratory birds to stop, forage, and breed.
