Besides the Aviation Technology Museum, what other tourist attractions are there in Yanliang District, Xi’an?

I am Cheng Wen, I started exploring tourism in Shaanxi Province in 2014, and spent 4 years visiting every district and county. Now I am organizing a review of tourism resources in each district and county. Today I will talk about Xi'an's Yanliang District.
To the northeast of Xi'an is a place called Yanliang, known for its aviation technology. After years of development, it is currently a comprehensive aviation city integrating aircraft design, manufacturing, appraisal, flight testing, teaching, and research. Therefore, Yanliang's image in the outside world is mainly a modern aviation technology zone.
In fact, Yanliang was once very famous. Yanliang has a very long history, as early as 6000 years ago during the Yangshao Culture, there were many residents living here. Leaving behind the names 'Yihe', 'Gushan', 'NanKangqiao' and 'Bosha Village'.
During one migration 2300 years ago, Yanliang was pushed to the top of its historical status. In 383-350 BC, Qin Huang Gong (Qin Emperor) wanted to compete with the Wei Kingdom for the land in Hexi, so he moved the capital from Yongcheng (now Baisheng Fengxiang) to Luyang (today's Yanliang County's Wutun Town), and after that, he used Luyang as the capital for 33 years. Although Luyang's time as the capital was shorter than Yongcheng and Chang'an, Luyang played a role in establishing the Qin state, Qin Xia Gong employed Shang Meng to implement reforms here, which marked the beginning of Qin's strong state, which laid the foundation for Qin's unification of the Six Kingdoms. Therefore, it is known as 'China's earliest law-based country'. Shang Meng's reforms marked the beginning of Luyang's glory. However, within 30 years, the Qin state moved its capital to Chang'an, and after 114 years, Chang'an was used as the capital.
After 117 years, with the end of the Qin Dynasty, the world was in chaos. After the uprising of Xiang Yu and Liu Bang, they gathered in Guanzhong. Xiang Yu was powerful, he called himself 'Xichu Ba Wang' and appointed various officials. Sima Xin appointed himself as the King of Sie, and he established his capital in Luyang.
But the good times didn't last long. 'Liu Bang' 'built a fence then crossed the river' and quickly captured Guanzhong. Luyang was used as the capital for only half a year. Afterwards, Liu Bang used Luyang as his main base of operations, competing with Xiang Yu for supremacy, and after several years, he defeated Xiang Yu and established the Han Dynasty. Before the Han Dynasty's capital was built in Chang'an, Liu Bang and his family lived in Luyang, and his father was buried in the north of Luyang, which is now at the intersection of Fuping and Yanliang.
During the Yuan Dynasty, Luyang was incorporated into Lintong. For a long time afterwards, it belonged to Lintong's administration.
In 1958, the country built aircraft manufacturing enterprises in Yanliang, including Factory 172 (now Xiwei Company), in order to accelerate the construction of Factory 172, based on the proposal of Deng Xiaoping, with the approval of the State Council, on August 1, 1966, Yanliang District was established, under the administration of Xi'an City.

Yanliang is a relatively small area, and there are not many tourist attractions. The main attractions include an Aviation Technology Museum and several historical sites.
1. Aviation Technology Museum (AAA level).
The Aviation Technology Museum is Yanliang's only AAA-level tourist attraction. As an aviation technology city, Yanliang has the conditions to develop aviation tourism. However, it is regrettable that currently tourists in Yanliang can only visit one 3A-level tourist attraction – the Aviation Technology Museum. I believe the types are not diverse enough, and the experience is not in-depth. There is a lot of room for improvement.

The Aviation Technology Museum is planned and managed by Xi'an Aviation Vocational and Technical College. The Aviation Technology Museum is divided into two thematic museums: the World Aviation Development History and the Chinese Aviation Development History. In the main hall, the J-5 and Y-5 planes, along with the three precious real aircraft, form a triangular matrix in the center of the hall. The picture was taken by the editor, do you all know them?

2. Luyang City Ruins.
Luyang City Ruins are located between Guocheng Village and Ancient City Village in Wutun Town, Yanliang County, Xi'an City.

It has been excavated twice, the first excavation unearthed three streets and six city gates, and the second excavation unearthed three city gates and thirteen streets. The city is a rectangle with a length of 1800 meters east and 2200 meters north. It discovered the iron smelting workshop ruins, and it is known that there are three pieces made in Luyang during the Qin Dynasty, which shows that Luyang was also an important base for Qin's iron making and weapon making.
However, most of the archaeological sites of Luyang City have been backfilled now, and ordinary tourists cannot see anything. They can only take a photo with the national key cultural relic protection monument.

3. Mausoleum of the Great Emperor of Han.
Liu Bang's father was the first emperor. This farmer from the old county of Paizhou, eventually left his name in history. The old man was captured by Xiang Yu, threatening Liu Bang to boil him. As a result, Liu Bang didn't take it seriously, and he survived, and his son became an emperor, and he was upgraded to a Great Emperor, enjoying his old age in the palace of Luyang. After his death, he was buried near Luyang City, which is now at the intersection of Fuping and Yanliang. This is called 'Wanyuan Ling', also known as 'Mausoleum of the Great Emperor', an octagonal tomb.

Of course, Yanliang also has some attractions frequented by local residents, such as Yanliang Park and Shiqigang River. Here, I will no longer recommend it.
