Sakly-Su Lake

Sakly-Su is Turkic for 'water' and in ancient Mongolian it means 'yellow',but the title 'Xiao Jiao' comes from a local delicacy in Sakly-Su –Shalke,

which means 'yellow lake'.

It's made with rice, milk, and butterfat, using milk and rice to create sticky rice, then shaping it into undulating mountains and a low-lying basin, finally topping it with melted, yellow butterfat, like a golden lake. The taste is oily but not greasy, incredibly delicious and unforgettable. It's a traditional Kokizak cuisine (which can be found in other parts of Xinjiang, but Xiao Jiao discovered it while researching Sakly-Su delicacies, hence its association with this place).

and forms a correspondence with Zhang Qian's hometown – the Zhang Qian Memorial Hall in Shaanxi Province's Chengdu. It's located on the east side of Kunbaoshan Road in Sakly-Su and west of the East Ring Road.

It covers an area of 1300 mu and is divided into four functional areas: Historical Culture Zone, Folk Customs Zone, Leisure and Entertainment Zone and Children's Entertainment Zone. It includes the Zhang Qian Memorial Hall•Sakly-Su History Museum and Technology Culture Center, as well as a star hotel, with pavilions, tea houses, sculptures and other facilities.

Notably, Zhangqian Park is built on the Ox-Tong Pond (a construction used to treat wastewater using natural purification ability), it is not known if the original facilities have remnants, Xiao Jiao is very curious, she has never seen such a thing before, if the remains are preserved, it should be a great viewing point.
