Zhejiang Central Grand Canyon – Long Canyon, Waterfalls Resemble Dragons, Comparable to Huangguoshu Waterfall
I arrived in Panan, Zhejiang, at the AAA-level scenic area of Wulongxia, known as 'Zhong-Central Grand Canyon'. It is located at the foot of Jianshan Town, Lucun Village, belonging to the Northeast branch of the Dapang Mountain Range, and the river is the Jiaxi River from the Caoya River system.
The mountains and rivers here are peculiar. Due to its unique geographical location, it has formed a unique landscape different from the surrounding environment, thus gathering various natural resources such as pools, waterfalls, lakes, rocks, mountains, and forests. At the same time, due to the presence of existing ancient residences, the City Mountain Site ruins and other human resources, it has distinctive features such as wonder, beauty, danger, quietness, and wilderness.
Of course, the scenic area is not only natural and humanistic landscapes, but also some artificially constructed places. Overall, there are many places to play. Due to its convenient transportation, it has become a popular summer resort and a good place to admire flowers in the spring for many people in the East China region.
After entering the main scenic area, from 'Eight Immortals Scenic Viewing Pavilion' inward, go to the foot of City Mountain to the Qianzhangya Scenic Area, visitors have been unable to see the full view of Qianzhangya. Inside, the cliff face is sharp and rocky, and visitors can hardly move. It is said that the Qianzhangya viewing platform is 700 meters long, and the concrete viewing platform is wide about one meter and three, without steps, and very flat and solid.
From afar, it is already magnificent, and the surrounding viewing platform railings are uniquely shaped, and also molded in ancient style, with tree roots and wood carvings, which are both strong and beautiful, and integrated with the environment. Walking in such an environment, it's already very comfortable.
Wulongxia is named for its five waterfalls that look like a dragon dancing. Its mountains belong to the northeast branch of the Dapang Mountain Range, and the Jiaoxi River's Jiaxi River flows through it. The combination of deep valleys, strange rocks, waterfalls, and rivers creates a unique mountain and water landscape, which also earned it the reputation of 'Zhong-Central Grand Canyon'.
The viewing platform tightly attached to the cliff face, one side is steep rock face, the other side is overlooking the deep valley, providing visitors with an open and safe viewing place. Visitors can stand on the cliff face and enjoy the wonderful 'Elder's Head Cliff', the mysterious 'Cow Legs Pool', 'Double Screen Pool' (Golden Screen Pool, Silver Screen Pool), the mysterious 'Shooting Pool' and the spectacular scenery of Qianzhangya cliff.
Standing in this wind-shrouded cave, whether it's the content of negative oxygen ions or the cool breeze in the summer, is quite impressive. Compared to the scenery of the mountains, I personally like the waterscape here more. After boarding the boat, you will pass through several small bridges, and in the center of the lakeside, you can look at the distant 'Flying Water Falling Three Thousand Feet' waterfall.
After passing through the wind-shrouded cave, walk into the self-flowing Dragon and Phoenix Waterfall from the mountain top, as if a dragon was in the sky, falling down. Looking from afar, the Dragon and Phoenix Waterfall is 'Strange and wonderful, and beautiful like the Jade Cave'. White mist hangs from the cliffs, pearls are scattered, and rainbows appear when the sun is shining. Critics and scholars together appreciate it, and even immortals would be fascinated if they were here.
The viewing platform is specially designed to view 'Elder's Head Cliff', a huge old man with a big head, clear forehead, nose and mouth, and long beard, which is a wonderful sight. From the viewing platform, you can see 'One of the Five Dragons' – 'Qianzhangyu' waterfall, which flows and jumps in the rock layers, like a white dragon leaping into the valley. Many tourists sighed that they couldn't go to Huangguoshu Waterfall, but it's also very good here!
After coming down from the viewing platform, you walk through the bottom of the gorge, there are various ice along the way, currently being cleaned, and it will take a period of time to clean completely. Tourists appreciate the beautiful scenery of the healthy and long-lived area and then come out of the exit 'wind-shrouded cave', then you can take a sightseeing bus to the next scenic area 'Double Happiness Arrives' zone.
Standing on this shaky rope bridge, you can not only view the Dragon and Phoenix Waterfall and Tianpan Longtan Waterfall at the same time, and there is a small waterfall in the middle between the two waterfalls, like a dragon father and dragon mother and dragon son family, it is also a favorite spot for many people to play, and many people say that it is worth coming here!
