There's a Place in Beijing Where Trains Enter the Park, Tourists Rush to Watch, and No Entrance Fee?
Beijing is not only the capital of New China, but was also the political center of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is said that it was valued by rulers as early as the Yuan Dynasty. What exactly gives Beijing such a great charm? Is it simply because it is the heart of China? During the feudal dynasties, Beijing did have such geographical advantages. But in modern times, Beijing's cultural accumulation is beyond the comparison of other cities.

Besides the Forbidden City where the feudal rulers lived in Beijing, there were also many that they built during their leisure time. Because they were worried about their personal safety being infringed, concubines including Fangdi were not easily able to leave the Forbidden City. Even if they went for a stroll, they might go to the Royal Park. Our Yuanmingyuan is a large Qing Dynasty royal garden with 150 scenic spots.

The gardens were built during the Qing Dynasty's most prosperous period. Yuanmingyuan encompassed all layouts and styles in China. Especially the scenery of southern gardens was very prominent here. The golden and magnificent palaces were mixed with pavilions and towers. Besides the known buildings, they even imitated the poetic and picturesque intentions of ancient poets and painters, creating unique landscapes such as Penglai and Yuelai and Wuling Spring. The Cishou Temple is one of the most magnificent architectural groups in Beijing and is also a Grade 1 Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in Beijing. Now Yuanmingyuan is ruined and has been built into Linglong Park to include it.
Surprisingly, there is also a locomotive in Linglong Park. The locomotive is a Japanese steam car from 1937. It was placed here because when Empress Taizhen was in power, trains were just beginning to appear, and they had previously built a railway track in Yuanmingyuan, but it was destroyed due to war. Now this locomotive has been renovated and placed here, possibly to commemorate it.

Now this locomotive has become the most special scenery in Linglong Park and a business card. Many tourists are curious about the locomotive entering the park and come to play. The various flowers, trees, and plants planted in the park are also very worth seeing. There are three seasons of flowers each year, and in winter, it is covered in silver and snow, which is very quiet and beautiful.

It is not easy for it to stand out among Beijing's more than 300 parks. Everyone should take some time to play in their spare time and don't need to buy tickets.
