The Unreproducible Beauty of Suzhou: Suzhou Travel Guide Insights
In the summer of 2019, life lost direction, quitting my job to travel, I went to Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shaoxing, West Lake Town, Nanchang, and about ten cities. Let's start with Suzhou, and organize the route for future reference.
Suzhou is truly the small bridge and flowing water that I imagined, and the attractions are concentrated. Especially the area of , multiple attractions can be walked within a short distance, such as Ling Yuan, Suzhou Museum, Zhutang Garden, Lion Hill, etc. It was in August, the most sunny season.
I lived in a chain hotel just ten minutes away from Lion Hill, found a cheap one at around seventy or eighty yuan, but it was very damp. This is the exit of the hotel, and there's a small bridge in Suzhou. Every small bridge has a name here, not a perfunctory name.

Suzhou Small Bridge

A beautiful scenery, but this is not within the scenic area, everywhere has beautiful scenery.
I went to Lion Hill first, Lion Hill is not big, but spent an afternoon playing inside, I really like the scenery of the artificial hills, you can run around in it, this is the advantage of backpacking, you can play whatever attractions you like, if you are in a group, you would have to leave after one or two hours.

The artificial hills all have entrances.
I wandered around in the artificial hills, and found a small pond along the way, haha, there's an irregular circular cave on the left, a little girl ran straight into it, I also wanted to, but I couldn't, I retreated back along the original path, haha.

No matter where you go, you will encounter the element of Lion Hill.

Bricks and Mortar

Beautiful corners

My favorite scenery to take pictures of is the garden, it's really beautiful.

Everywhere has beautiful scenery.

Me and Old Di's unfiltered selfies, haha.

That night, I went to Shantang Street, it's really beautiful, no need for tickets, just stroll around.

I went in from Duenguo Bridge, and saw the scenery from the bridge.

There are cruise ships by the river, this is the price and time. There are tour guides on board explaining the scenery, and there's also a lute performance.

Taking pictures on the cruise ship.
Then came Zhutang Garden, the largest private garden, often changed ownership, the area is much larger than Lion Hill, with pavilions and towers, a typical southern garden.

I waited for a long time but couldn't find a place without people to take pictures, it's really difficult.

I went to the location of Zhang Ji's 'Moon Bridge Night' , of course, I didn't disturb the master, took a photo at the entrance, and left immediately.
Su Da Qiang's home, didn't disturb the master, took a photo and left.

On this street, I wandered around and took a few photos. Dongxi Temple was built by Du Yue Sheng, and I took a picture there, and then left.

While walking to Tongxi Temple, I happened to encounter Guancheng Street, I strolled around for a while before returning, it's surprising that such a prosperous place has so cheap clothes, there's a place to shop, eat, play and have fun.
Then I went to Pingle Road, which was at night. It's similar to Shantang Street, but Shantang Street is more renovated, while Pingle Road's buildings are more old, representing a historical district, it's also worth seeing, but the pixels are limited, so it's hard to capture the scene, the actual scenery is better than the photo.

I ate a fruit I hadn't tried before, I forgot the name, but it wasn't tasty, haha.
My favorite came, Suzhou Museum, the building is really beautiful, right next to Zhutang Garden, it's very convenient to visit.
Overall, it's a garden-style building, the venue is both traditional and innovative, the lines are neat and clean.
It was very crowded in the summer, I had to reserve a few days in advance, but I couldn't reserve it on the day, I really thought I couldn't go, I kept refreshing WeChat to see if there were cancellations, and finally found two cancellations after a day.

You also have to go early to queue, the queue is very long.

Outside the museum there is a bakery that is very good, soft and slightly sweet, fragrant, hot, but I don't know the name, I really wanted to eat it.

Rest area
The painting on the wall is a beautiful mountain and river scenery, I didn't notice it at first, but it was very striking, it's a good painting.

The water painting came to life, even if it's a little further away, it's more beautiful, you can hear the sound of water flowing behind the artificial hills, but there's no actual water flow.

The sound of running water in the depths of the mountains.
The scenery is wonderful.

The venue

One step and one scenery is the persistence of southern gardens.

Please ignore this photo, too many people to find a good angle, stairs, clean and beautiful lines, full of ingenuity, like like like.

These are the pictures of Tongqi Palace, which is connected to the museum, sorry, I like to take pictures of corners.

I went to Lantang Temple from the museum, took the bus from the bus stop near the museum, and passed a very old Suzhou old street, didn't take pictures, dark tiles and white walls, old street, there's also a courtyard, white walls are easy to age, full of historical atmosphere, the road is winding and twisting, although it's not far from the scenic area, but it has preserved the original living state, a peaceful and harmonious life, this is the biggest characteristic of a city.
Everyone wants to know the of other cities, can leave a message, haha.
